I havent finished a drama properly in months. I start out strong and positive but towards the last few episodes i tend to skip skip & then eventually never finish. If u ask me how many beans i have im not even confident i will seriously pass 5.

Can relate to this a lot. It certainly is frustrating when things that were easy to do become hard. It also sucks because there are so many things going on right now that are depressing. I find it always hard to navigate when I get into that pit because my number of spoons seem to half but I’m still surprised when they’re used up so quickly.

I read somewhere a woman pointing out that in the past (when depressed) she had started having trouble keeping up with cleaning her dishes. She couldn’t get herself to take off the excess food on the plates before loading them into the dishwasher. Therefore she had a pile of stacked plates. She received the advice of just running the dishwasher twice. She wasn’t going to hurt anyone by not following the rules.
Brought this up because if you need to live a little lawlessly and DNF, that’s fine. Sometimes everyone needs a moment when they don’t need to follow the rules.

I feel like the universe is burning and there’s no water to put it out. At the same time i feel like the heart is cold & freezing but the soul has nothing to keep it warm.

Everything brilliant I find in stories, in fantasies, things that grasp my interest, and attention is eventually met with distrust, disappointment and pointlessness.

This! All of this! Sometimes dramas remind you that they are just a form of escapism from the real world and that doesn’t settle in well. If you want to know how to cope with it then watching light, rom coms does help me. They are usually found in the Chinese dramaland rather than Korean these days. I totally delve into escapism, that doesn’t change a thing in the real world but helps me cope for a while. However it is making me numb regarding the realities of life and sometimes you from moving forward. But that’s the overthinking me, you don’t have to think that far.

I’d like to recommend Racket Boys for your drama slump. It’s not tiering at all and mostly fluff all the way. It would definitely lift your spirit up. Minimal angst angst and NO noble idiocy.

I think so, personally. But even in a drama slump, I can almost always find something that keep me company, e.g., House on Wheels 2, 2D1N, or When the Weather is Fine.

Not always. I have sometimes kept interested in dramas through depressions but boy, lately it’s been very hard. I know I’m just distracting myself and find I don’t even remember what I just watched 😟
