Everyone knows my love for KS and SM, thought I take a min to appreciate the writing of HCCC. It is nice to watch a kdrama with:
• Strong, financially independent women who are brave and say what they feel. We need to normalise valuing a woman’s independence and her ability to buy herself expensive gifts.
• A ML who isn’t threatened by a financially superior FL.
• ML and SL who like each other, talk like adults and aren’t fighting over a girl (I always hate it when men think they own a women just cause they like her)
• Leads who talk and aren’t afraid to apologise when they make a mistake.
• No forced wrist grabbing (yet)
I know we have 4 episodes left but I so far the writer has managed to stay away from silly misunderstandings and noble idiocy. Fingers crossed this continues.
As I have said before while HCCC is really a show about nothing it still manages to make me happy.
Highlights of ep 12
We finally know the reason for the divorce and HJ acting was brilliant.
The super cute MS and daft EC and the MVP chicken shop owner.
SY straightening DS out for his petty jealousy.
The pretty woman reversal, the interaction looked so unscripted🤣
In other news, I have hubby watching HCCC with me ( he mostly makes fun of me while I fangirl on KS). So he watched SM’s energiser bunny act and says” she has the same exhausting but cute energy as you”. After 14 yrs of marriage I take that as a compliment🤣🤣
