I checked the synopsis again after finishing the first episode, well that does say that he is dead not missing. However, if we see no body in today’s epsiode then that plot point will surely happen otherwise how will the ship sail. It’s a romance drama after all, the ship has to sail.
Having seen episode 2, he looks to be well and truly gone, but convincingly dead bodies have reappeared at a late date before, but I’ve given up on him at present.
Even the infant sister looked dead for a while, although we all knew better. But yes, now it looks like the prince is toast, which leaves me wondering what the exit strategy might be.
It’s easier to imagine a happy ending if they can scrape up a male lookalike to take the throne and provide some heirs while the OTP do some happy-ever-aftering away from the palace.
A non-related doppelganger, secret triplets or undead prince seem unlikely even by kdrama standards so I’m stumped.

Any bets on whether the dead prince will later turn up secretly alive somewhere?

Well, it *could* be one of those rare kdramas with a sad ending?

I’ve been wondering too.
