I am particularly impressed how well Junho looks in hanbok and period costuming for his upcoming sageuk RED CUFF SLEEVE.
Seeing his pics reminded be how well Shin Hyun-Soo looked in BOSSAM.

Yes, I agree. For Shin Hyun Soo, I think the blue/purple colors really suited him; they we’re my favorite.

Probably the only good thing out of Homme Fatale was seeing Junho in bright hanboks. Totally loving what I’m seeing so far with RCS as well.

I also liked SHS in green.
HOMME FATALE is available on Viki US and I really should work it in before RSC begins. It has to be tongue in cheek. I really like Junho in the teal outfit (2nd pic) (that’s the color I think) in Miky’s post below.

It’s not the best movie nor Junho’s best work to be honest. That second picture I was distracted by the staff in the background lol but yes so much pretty! 😍

That is why HF has been pretty much on the back burner for me. He completed the film before beginning his military service and the premise of the film was weird. I have no idea if it has any historical basis. I am too lazy to research.
Maybe @kiara and @ wishfultoki can chime in. Was there such a thing as a male gisaeng in Joseon? I am sure gigolos have been around since the beginning of time but…

I’m sure they would know. Although I think the producer did say it was only fiction, in regards to strictly a male gisaeng. But maybe kiara or toki know more?

It’s improbable in male-dominant Joseon. The gibangs existed to entertain men.
I’ll go with fiction unless we are talking about early Korea, where women ruled the kingdom and had more than one husband.

Thanks @kiara. I passed on RED SKY and AFFECTION but will be picking up the two upcoming sageuks. I believe you said you would be watching RED SLEEVE CUFF so hopefully we will have a place to hang out.

I still am not fully recovered from how pitifully he died in Bossam.

I never did finish Bossam but why am I not surprised his character died? Was it to save the princess?

He was dumb. Hurtful but that pretty much summarized everything.

In a way yes and also Ba-woo. Dae-yeop (SHS) formed a plan to kill his “father” V.P. Lee but at the critical moment dropped the sword (see 2nd pic in next post) and turned his back on the bas**rd who picked it up and ran DY through the back.
(To refresh my memory I went to the excellent @wishfultoki’s blog:

I can’t even like your comment because if the lingering anger as to why ********* did you drop your sword in front of the person I were about to kill and slowly turning your back to him and slowly walking away? What were you thinking in your head? I just went omg while watching that scene.

Lol. As soon as Dae-yeop dropped his sword I knew he was a goner.

His supposed father, the man who raised him, but in truth his real father had been a royal prince. Dae-yeop learns who is actual birth parents are late in the drama. For me it all made his story even sadder. A lot of folks didn’t care for DY (SHS) right from the beginning of the drama but I had a soft spot for the guy.

@marcusnyc20 I actually really liked him in this character because it was so different from what I’d seen of him in Waikiki. And ah yes now I remember there was some type of birth secret but I think I stopped watching around the reveal. Maybe I should finish it one day.

I had cared for him since the start. 😭
