S. Korea blurs the line between fiction & reality again. You can’t hang around kdramaland for long without running into shows about real estate development corruption and accompanying suicides, whether real or faked. You should figure there wouldn’t be so many writers making such a big deal of it if there weren’t some real-world incidents to piss them off inspire them. So headlines like that shouldn’t be a total surprise.
You probably know that there has been a huge political scandal around real estate this year in SK. It always surprises me when I tap into actual events there how close the dramas are to rl.
