        It’s not like this show had any real character development, and I’m uplifting a character the show wasn’t actually ever going to treat the way I wanted it to, I know this… but this does kinda just make Bead Boy a plot device.
        And if I didn’t like him so much maybe this revenge would taste sweeter and be more satisfying. Or alternatively I would be up for the sickening tragedy of that in some wildly different show.
        But why am I still talking about this, it’s frakking Special Royal Inspector and Joy lmao

      I’m trying to remember one other time I wanted to just spit fire due to a male not-lead death that seemed just…argh…and…my brain actually remembered: Prince Yangmyung in The Moon Embracing The Sun I mean, yes, plot difference because potential future throne conflict because court polly tickers always gotta stack their decks for more drama–so the “unnecessary” part can definitely be argued against in this case–but still…UGH…😭

      I know there are others that also seemed “really?!?!” at the time, but that’s the first one that came to mind that gave me a similar level of NOOOOOOOOOoooooooo! 😮

      I watched episode 15 last night and when Tae-soo was run through THE BACK by Do-soo my immediate reaction was WHAT!!, AGAIN!! A repeat of the demise of Dae-yeop in BOSSSAM without (unlike DY) any consolation in his last moments. That was bad.
