I finally finished The Silent Sea and here’s the review/opinion no one asked for:

The story wasn’t Impressive but just scraped by as fairly interesting. I felt like they had some basic plots that could’ve been engaging if explored further but that didn’t happen (ohh the missed emotional connection!). The space travel part did not deliver at all, in fact the story could’ve been set in post apocalyptic Busan (yes, that place again) for all I care.

If you can get through the first 3 episodes you can probably make it to the end. Gong Yoo helped (because he’s oppa obviously and the only reason i persevered despite questioning his Captain skills). I’m also on holiday with not much to do.

So in conclusion, it’s worth a watch if you want to support whoever and don’t mind the almost 8 hours going to nothing.

Spoiler-ish thoughts of final eps in comment.

The water had almost immediate effect on Everybody except for the traitor, why? Cos he conveniently needed time to explain his betrayal 🤦🏻‍♀️

Why did no one question Luna’s survival ability on Earth?

What was that rescue ship in the end??? It just cruised by like landing on the moon is easy peasy 🤣

Why did they kill those scientists five years ago? Obviously they don’t care about morals and ethics of human experimentation. And how did everyone die? And if the water from just one person is enough to submerge the station as happened in the last episode then why didn’t it get destroyed five years ago when there was more water assuming that everybody died from the lunar water?

Yeah, what triggered the sudden decision to eliminate 100+ crew on the moon, aborting a very expensive and lifesaving mission and then only thinking of retrieving samples 5 years later? 🤦🏻‍♀️🤔
