When I feel cheated and extremely pi**ed off by the ending of a drama…

There are a few dramas’ writers / producers against whom I bear a forever deep deep grudge…

Well the endings I hated are…
    1. Sisyphus
    2. Flower of Evil
    3. Eternal Monarch
    4. Whole second half of RSC

I agree with Sisyphus, and Eternal Monarch. I regretted wasting my time watching them because of the completely failed ending … why do they need to overly complicate and messing things until the end is beyond my understanding …
However I absolutely loved Flower of Evil from beginning to end ☺️
Sorry, I dont recognize RSC ?

RSC – Red Sleeve Cuff🙈 I dont want to get started on this!
The whole memory loss and other stuffs following to it made FOE enter in this list.

I can’t regret watching Woo Do Hwan.

Agreed!!! Basically I loved all the side characters, except the ML and FL! Like even the arch and character of that small yoyo boy contributed more to plot than both MLs! 😬

Vagabond was the worst followed by Arthdal and The Crowned Clown (although I really liked that drama and mostly laughed during the ending).

Ah how can I forget vagabond! I guess that’s becoming a norm of all Netflix dramas, squid game u see, silent sea, they leave it like that to keep opening for s2, now sometimes it becomes cliffhanger like squid game or mess like vagabond!

I think Vagabond’s ending was worse than open ended. It was a complete loop.

Well, V. was my first Korean tv series, the one that got me to look for other good (yes) Korean series and …ultimately discover Viki ☺️
I understand that the format is far from the cherished classical … but from where I come from, I can tell you that this is one of the smartest and truest one you will ever find … more a non-fiction than a fiction 😉

Jumpin’ jiminy, something was worse than Arthdal? That’s really saying something 😳

Vagabond is still a good drama but needs a season 2

That’s what happend with Gu Family Book, right?
I remember being fine with the ending but a bunch of people feeling annoyed about it. Maybe a rewatch would make me feel different about it, but I don’t know… Maybe it’s because I’ve watched a bunch of makjangs but I really prefer my leads alive. 😂

So do I re. Leads staying alive ☺️
But I really hate it when they pretend it’s a happy ending, when clearly it is not what was intended and what we can infer from the situation (deadly wound, incurable disease with a relapse and rush into hospital… ). I hate it when it can only be a dream but they don’t actually say it… 😉

Well yeah, it would more make sense to not create those kind of deadly situations if their not going all the way with it.
Have you watched ‘Just Between Lovers’? You think that ending is like that?
Or what about ‘Black’? did you like the ending?

I thought about Just between lovers, but it doesn’t fall into the category for me. They truly decide that he is to be a Lucky one and go with it… he gets the transplant, they tell you how he survives… the others I mentioned don’t. You just see the beloved go on with her life (for whatever reason, it seems that they love to kill their ML but pretend they didn’t in order not to limit their viewership…) for 3 to 6 months … and then “abracadabra” (I’m French 😉), the ML appears back in their life , which just doesn’t make any sense … but when I read comments on these guilty dramas for me, it seems that the majority is happy with what they think is a happy ending, which is clearly disrespectful to the viewer in my opinion… 😡

Black is on my watchlist but haven’t started it …

Oh, I get it. Finales are all about time jumps. Time jump to revive a character, time jump to make the poor lead accomplish their dreams, time jump to show you someone didn’t die, etc.

I dropped TWTWB, I don’t remember City Hunter or Falling for Innocence (my memory sucks lol), but I’m pretty sure I’ve seen dramas like that.
I don’t think Happiness used that formula… Gu Family Book kinda did it, but with fantasy elements.
I can’t remember other shows… I don’t remember how Soo In got better in Love Story in Harvard, but I don’t think it was out of nowhere… I’m not sure.

Fall into the Category for me:
City hunter, That winter the wind blows (watched for Jo I’m-sung after “it’s okay, that’s love”…), Beating again…I’m sure there are many others …
