Yup! Also both ONS and story progressing from becoing lovers without it is formulaic but I definitely prefer the latter even knowing what will happen in ep 8 or 12. The former just devoids shows of the budding romance feelings kdramas incite.
It’s an interesting choice. I’m not opposed if done well but the jury is still out on that. Both dramas are doing better than anything jtbc has put out in quite some time, so maybe the audience likes it.

Also story wise it seems like an easy route taken by the writer to develop the romance.
