    …a sequel? ^^

I think I will miss only the OST. I watched it as it is a homework. The story -if there is really a one – is not full. They didn’t show how the CEO could be so mean with the artists. The director of the forcestar is unrealistic at all.

How come this was homework? What are you studying? When I was studying English literature they warned us that we would not be able to read trash for pleasure any more so I am wondering if your studies mean you need to watch programmes with more substance.

What genre do you prefer to watch? What are you watching for now?

^-^. I what I mean is I didn’t fully enjoy the show as it could be much better than this but in the same time I couldn’t drop it. I like watching romance comedy drama. I’m watching 39 and I really like it.

I hope you enjoy I prefer binge watching its hard to do that and avoid the spoilers. I really took my time watching the last two episodes as I didn’t want it to end. I have no comedy now so hoping Jinx is good enough to keep watching.

I’m watching it for about the third time and I like it more each time. Great chemistry between the two leads, and LSK is a lovely comic actress. Loved the immense contrast between Gong Hae-sung when he was switched ON in performance mode (those photo sessions were seriously sexy) and when he was OFF, when he was a thin (though seriously muscled) slightly fragile guy in baggy sweats, who couldn’t really go anywhere. I don’t envy the famous in Korea.

Lots of funny stuff, eg the actor and his manager who got overly emotionally involved in the role; Yu-Na and her rookie man, who didn’t give a stuff about the scandal and just got on with getting pregnant and getting married. I like that they said they weren’t asking permission…. contrast that with some real-life k-stars who announce their relationships on social media as if they have to apologise to their fans for having a life.

My biggest quibble with Shooting Stars is I would have liked to have seen a bit more at the end showing what happened for them both when their relationship went public.

Yes, I wondered about life after public announcement too. They were definitely keepers and would get married with kids. I loved her excitement when she was seeing his picture every where and registering he really was her boyfriend. His ridiculously bad selfies were so funny. I feel for the famous not being able to go anywhere freely.

I watched the grocery shopping scenes on the only two reality shows I watched Young actors retreat and Friendcation and thought the other shoppers must have been given clear instructions on how to be extras so they could go in and complete the shop without constant requests for photos. If I ever meet anyone famous I want to ask them a random question how they face the flash cameras without blinking, because that’s a skill I need to learn!

I also loved his on off too😊 he was super cute. The manager was really funny with the underwear on the car wipers and handing out a rival’s merchandise because it was cheaper! But his dedication with the next level first aid kit was so reassuring.

I loved that show I just wish it didn’t have the revenge and the dodgy housekeeper storylines those scenes really changed the tone. I could handle the hidden black son, the mystery around his mum and the roomie’s suicide as realistic but the other two were too much and went on too long.

Yeah, the dodgy housekeeper was a bit much. It was such an abuse of trust for a very public figure who only had a very small circle of trusted people, particularly someone who was in his house all the time.

The concept of “manager” was a bit confusing to me, as the role seemed to range from someone who was your driver and general flunky up to someone who was actually helping run your career.

Kim Young Dae was seriously lovely, and he had so many moods. He was very funny when being petty and insecure and jealous. Then utterly convincing as a smouldering star. I too loved how thrilled she was the morning after they got together, seeing him look at her from a zillion ads as she drove. Especially his smouldering look from the contact lens ad on the huge billboard. And so romantic, when we see him actually shooting that ad, and the director tells him to look like he’s looking at someone he loves, and he’s looking at her…sigh.

He managed to convince me that Lee Sung Kyung could be with someone else besides Nam Joo Hyuk — I had a big thing for Weightlifting Fairy for quite a while! Among the wonderful things about that drama was the fantastic banter and chemistry between the two of them. Whoever wrote the dialogue was a genius and those two made it sing…

It’s so rare to find good romantic comedies… Hollywood doesn’t seem to do anything decent. And the romance seems a lot more cynical. When I stumbled on kdrama last year, that was the first thing that struck me, how unabashedly romantic they could be. The camera would freeze on the couple when they shared a look, and then you’d practically see little hearts and flowers buzzing round the screen.

I think I might have read on this site that the main k-drama audience is women, which is why the male stars take off their shirts so much, and that the Korean romantic comedies are a distraction for Korean women because they are so disappointed in Korean men! Don’t know how true that is…

Korean culture is a whole new world for me!

I feel sorry for any woman who seriously uses the K drama men with their perfect looks and manners as the benchmark for their potential life long partner.

I do wonder how actors find a partner in real life and develop a long lasting relationship when their partner associates their face with the many characters they have played over the years. The world they live in is so alien and which woman/man wants to willing sign up to a life of dealing with jealous ‘fans’ and restricted access to everyday activities like going for a walk in peace,
