Tomorrow is Yumi’s day! Yay! ^^
I’m thinking of watching Jinxed at First since my week feels empty. I don’t have anything for wedn-thurs and only Link for mon-tues.

So, is Jinxed good?

I am struggling to finish off this week’s episodes, there has been a shift in characters and more of the much needed backstory but it’s not really proving to be my thing. I would say its a 5-6 compared to a 10 for Yumi’s cells. The wait for Yumi feels long, this came round and I almost forgot it was on.

In context this is a drama I wanted to keep watching despite a rocky start with the first couple of episodes. I have watched it like it’s a webdrama in 10-20 mins segments and then watched a whole episode or two of Scent of a woman or Devilish joy and then come back to it.

Last week some people said the show was kinda creepy. Did that change?
Is it one of those “let’s solve crimes instead of being funny and cute like we’re supposed to” kind of romcom? Or how do feel about it? Does it feel like a romcom?

It seems that it is taking a long time to settle into itself. These two episodes the villain has been changing like a Mexican wave one minute it’s evil chairman then we get scenes of him being a decent person, then it’s evil cousin taking over the reigns. Finally the second half of episode 4 was the cute rom com that had drawn me in to watch it. There seems to be a set up for potential second lead syndrome for both the male and female characters that could then feed into the other genre storylines.

I think it’s going the way of Love all, play and Sh**ting stars where the rom com is mixed in with other genres and deflects from the main genre except I wonder if the fantasy/thriller elements are going to have equal billing in this one rather than being removed after a couple of episodes. This might be one to binge watch after airing so you can see the rom com to random other stuff ratio. Based on the second half of episode 4 I am prepared to give it one more week. But equally I am living in hope that the new shows coming later this month and in July will be on earlier in the week so I can watch them rather than having to settle for Jinxed because all my other watches are on the weekend.

I’m not really into the evil conglomerate trying to control the women—it’s horrifying. But I am into Seul Bi an Su Gwang getting to be funny and cute around each other. The stress of her getting caught is getting to me though. I think they should be more careful, but going around carefree like they are is disconcerting. I’m hoping the market folks somehow have special powers to protect them. 😂
