So I don’t really know if Doojoon wants to be a serious actor or not. He’s just so charismatic and affable (I use that word about him a lot). But my point is that in episode 15 of Never Give Up, I saw a side of him that I’ve NEVER seen any any of his shows. A vulnerability that broke my heart, and an emotional peak that he tapped into somehow. There are some actors that make me believe they are who they say they are, make me hurt with them, cry with them, and want to comfort them. He did that to me and I’d forgotten he could. You see, I ride kdramas for the emotional highs and lows because I’m too cowardly to feel them too deeply in real life. And this is such a feel good show, everyone should watch it! And if there is ever a theme of the month on underrated dramas, you all know I’ll be writing about this one! #allhighlightallthetime

I thought of you (as always as Highlight crosses my path, and it’s quite often as GiKwang is cohosting a program with Jun.K) while watching Dongwoon in Today’s Webtoon.
I also have a very soft spot for Doojoon but I haven’t seen Never Give Up… should I give it a try?

I couldn’t agree more, what a gem this show was. Doojoon really impressed me in those last few episodes.

Me, too.💗 They have helped me side-process some difficult emotions like grief, as well as facilitated a sort of acceptance for the complex and contradictory feelings I have about family, for a start. I don’t know why kdramas in particular have this power/effect…
