I finished Good Job, and I’m sad to report that although it was fantastic up to ep7, ep8 was horrible, and its only saving grace is that it made the next 4 episodes mediocre in comparison and not outright bad. It honestly felt like the writer and director ran away together after ep7 and the crew scrambled to make do with whatever they could.

There were still some plot points in the last quarter which I quite liked. Namely:

1_ I liked that we had a twist regarding the big bad. And it wasn’t same old jealous greedy uncle and cousin. Although I would have preferred if his motives were stronger.

2_ I actually began to maybe not like, but not hate the cousin too. Yoon Sun Woo did a very good job of depicting this character.

3_ We had the exact dialogue couples have in dramas for noble idiocy, except, it didn’t end in noble idiocy! They just had a conversation, nodded and accepted each other’s answers, and smiled! Bravo!

So, as this was the second time a drama went downhill immediately after I wrote I’m absolutely loving it, I’m not telling what I’m watching now! 🤣

I dropped it after Episode 8. I couldn’t continue even for uri BOSSAM couple. 😥 Should I soldier on to the end since it is “only” mediocre from now on?

Since I’m on the subject, I’ll just vent my hatred of the secondary loveline between the lawyer and baker friend. So much cringe. Disgusting fluff. I was disappointed because the lawyer guy is such a good actor and he was wasted on a stupid romance.

Nope, there is really no reason to continue after ep 7. You did well my friend.
The secondary loveline was just weird.

On the bright side, this show made me put Bossam on my list. I am embarrassed to say that before GJ I hadn’t noticed that Bossam and Bulgasal are two different shows.

Danger averted, thank you. I’ve officially dropped it

Oh, BOSSAM is on a whole other level. Episodes 1-9 were great. After that the focus shifts more towards history and politics (hey, it’s a sageuk) but that is no problem for me. It is so rare nowadays to get sageuks that blend history and fiction. I enjoyed every minute. The romance is subtle but deep.

I have not seen Bulgasal lol. I watched the trailer I think and was thoroughly creeped out.
