I cringed when JH scooped up the cat before SH did, and even named the cat. And turning up at SH’s workplace, making him the subject of teasing… I think she has overstepped her boundaries too quickly into the fake marriage. Man, I would feel uncomfortable too, if my contract marriage spouse does the same thing, and would draw the line as SH did. I also think JH has overreacted to him emphasizing the line between them because they both knew the fake marriage came about because they were the perfect flat mates, not because they love each other as man and woman.

Oh, I agree with this so much! With the work thing she did try to bow out before going up–she just didn’t succeed. But, who goes around thinking its perfectly ok to name someone elses pet? It would be rude and wrong if it were a tiny kitten that he had owned for 7 minutes but its extra, SUPER, wrong to rename a pet that he’s had for LONG before he met her. And while Cat isn’t a great name–Audrey Hepburn named her cat “Cat” in Breakfast at Tiffany’s sooooo—you just take yourself a couple of seats, lady, and sit on down somewhere.

I agree about the cat, but not the work visit. She didn’t go to visit him, but was dragged in by his colleagues. It would have been awkward to refuse their invite. Of course he didn’t know that, so I still understand his reaction.

I agree but at the same time, it was only human of her to get ahead of herself – especially after SH was so kind and supporting on their wedding day. I understand and empathize with both sides.
