Writer-nim opened her Room 19 to us, but it seems to be laden with threads too tangled up for me to handle. For the first 14 episodes, I’ve always enjoyed reading Ji-ho’s introspection and book quote narratives. But Ji-ho lost me at 15 and 16. We all cheered for her when that cliffhanger at episode 6 (โNo, I donโt have a boyfriend.โ) turned out to be different from what we thought was her being petty. But then she went playing mind games with Se-hee big time at the penultimate episode? Really?
Ji-ho has a good few moments when she shows herself to not be a very nice person. I chalked up her actions at the end to her wanting Se-hee to act on his feelings and open up.

When mom told her that she made no sense, I clapped and yelled the same.
