I have the same answer just because I want this Sam Jang curse to be over already. Sun-mi seriously has had enough. Really hope she gets rewarded for all this nonsense the heaven put her through.
So I went to wiki the ending of the original journey to the west and here goes:
Chapter 100, the last of all, quickly describes the return journey to the Tang Empire, and the aftermath in which each traveller receives a reward in the form of posts in the bureaucracy of the heavens. Sun Wukong (Monkey) and Xuanzang (monk) achieve Buddhahood, Sha Wujing (Sandy) becomes an arhat, the dragon horse is made a nฤga, and Zhu Bajie (Pig), whose good deeds have always been tempered by his greed, is promoted to an altar cleanser (i.e. eater of excess offerings at altars).
Although the heavens is not exactly an employer of choice in this show, but iโll take it if it means our 503 couple can live happily ever after! COME ON SHOW!
Sun Mi, because there is the possibility of reincarnation. Though I hate it when they do that, and Oh-gong would lose his shit and wreak some major havoc, so that is probably not best case scenario.
What if Sun-mi gets to be a deity as a reward from heaven but Oh-gong died protecting her? Thatโs the perfect reversal of the previous protectorโs love story.
Haha I agree, really unacceptable!
Iโm actually enumerating all the possible crappy endings the writers may give us in my head, and the scenario above might just be the worst. Iโd rather have both of them die (still unacceptable) than watch one die while the other suffers.
This is the ending that better happen: Sun-mi becomes a goddess as a reward for putting up with heaven’s wack-a-doodle crap for so long. Goddess Sun-mi marries Oh-gong. The new power couple goes on their honeymoon in Japan where they make the first of many cheeky and mischievous children who will spend all of eternity tormenting their father and Ma-wang.
Sort of a reversal, but it doesn’t circumvent the death bell fate, and I feel like having fate happen anyway is the worst ending.
I feel like a lot of this drama is geared towards twisting fate to us instead of being weakly following its whims.
strange tho that if Heaven so wants someone killed and they give Oh Gong such a powerful sword but none of them think of getting rid of the evil human shaped donut across the border.
I think it’s because they’re waiting for three big bad demon to appear. And he probably would anyway, if he’s created by human evil, so it’s better to keep the strongest magnet alive as bait.
As for the priestess, though, let her rot, please. She is just irritating.
Errr – Sun Mi cos her Sam Jang Spirit will die and her Sun Mi spirit will attain goddess-hood for cultivating her essence for so many years of service.

If one really has to die, who would you prefer it to be? Oh-gong or Sun-mi? ๐ค๐ค

SunMi, providing she becomes a deity for it.
Though frankly OhGong may become frighteningly unhinged if she’s gone forever.

😰😰 Reincarnation disappoints me. And it would be too much like Goblinโs ending so I hope they donโt go there.

I’m scared to think what SOG would be like if Sunmi dies, but then is there a chance she becomes a deity or something?

I mean, Sunmi has suffered for a long time, and these 2 have not have any breaks.

I donโt know how Sun-mi does it. Her life is so painful and suffocating. So the heaven owes her a big fat happy ending

I know! Why canโt they just kill the evil candidate and burn Asanyeo already? Because itโs too easy?
