    That pink suit tho!

      He wears it so well, doesn’t he? I love the blush shades..

        Agree!! I think it’s because not only is he tall, but his shoulders are quite broad even though he’s like Lee Joon Ki: skinny buff 🙂

          Exactly! I think it’s his height and shoulders that pull it off. I’m pretty sure if I wore something like that it’d look like it came from an oversized hobo costumer trying to play dress up. 😂

        @bebeswtz skinny buff.. How apt!
        @fencejumper You must be quite petite. I’d look the same too cause I’m extremely short. It’s hard not to let such clothes overwhelm you. Some short people like Miroslava Duma can make oversized clothes work.. Most of us just fail. Hahah

          @zoeraindasherbenji I am on the petite side so the “oversized” trend does no favours.😢 I really like PHS’ striped bow tie shirt pictured above. I’m guessing it’s supposed to be unisex but it has this really dainty touch to it and I love it!

            I like the bow tie shirt too.. And have you seen the other photos in the photoshoot and interview too? There’s one shot with flared striped pants and a floral print shirt and it makes me think he should do a project set in the 60s or 70s.

          I haven’t seen the other pics but now that you’ve mentioned it I should go and check it out! I feel like PHS could pull off any concept. He’s always had this rich chaebol looks eg.SWDBS but ever since Suits, he rocks the cocky vulnerable look too! A chameleon!

            He had the cocky vulnerable look in Hwarang too.. but if you haven’t tried What Happens To My Family, please give it a go! His role as Cha Dal Bong there is quite different from the various chaebol type roles he’s had in recent years. And Sirius and Nine: Nine Time Travels too. Personally, I think his chaebol roles are both blessings and curses. Blessings, imo, because he gave nuances to each character no matter the commonalities. Curses… because they sort of typecasted him for a while.

            I haven’t watched Hwarang or Nine Time Travels but I’ve finished WHTMF- loved it. Sure some eps may have lagged but there was such great chemistry. He was so down to earth and homely! His chaebol roles are definitely both a blessing and a curse. It was a HUGE blessing in High Society. I had to capitalize that because he and the 2nd FL were the only reasons to watch that drama. The main leads were honestly awful and the plot was echh but they carried the drama on their shoulders.

            I haven’t watched High Society yet.. Apparently he carried that show!

            Tbh, his scenes in Hwarang, particularly the ones with Kim Ji Soo, the actress who played his mom, were the ones that helped me get through the drama. I liked the bromance scenes as well but the romance between Park Seo Joon and Go Ara’s characters wasn’t convincing for me and it was Hyung Sik’s arc and other actors like Lee Da In and Do Ji Han with their characters’ love story that stole the show in the end.

            Though you and many others have warned me about High Society being a shipwreck, I still want to watch it because of the reviews about Hyung Sik and Im Ji Yeon’s acting. UEE is supposed to be one of the better idol-turned-actresses right? I wonder why she did so badly in High Society.

    How these ZE:A actors manage to steal my heart…

      Ikr?! I’m looking forward to watching Dong Jun in About Time too. Perhaps Siwan and Hyung Sik shared some of their acting tips with him.

        If he has 1/2 the ability of either of the other two, I’ll be happy.

          Same here. I hope his acting doesn’t make a case for the whole “Idols shouldn’t and can’t act!” camp. But ZE:A hasn’t really succeeded so where can these boys go if not into acting? DJ-ing? Variety shows? You know, a small part of me is somewhat relieved ZE:A never really succeeded. I don’t know if we would have gotten to see Hyung Sik and Si Wan in so many shows otherwise.

            True. I still watch a couple of their videos because they’re fun 😂 and I feel bad because of the other people in the group, but. I don’t want to know dramaland without those two.

            Well, they’ll all have to find their own paths. I heard Kevin was a DJ on a radio show for SBS. I think one of the flaws of Korean showbiz is that it’s all or nothing. They don’t really prepare you for other options if you don’t make it to the top as an idol group which is unfortunate because they’re all talented in different ways. I guess, they just have to depend on themselves and move forward with their individual passions and interests whether it’s in the entertainment world or not.
