I’ve redone the HTML formatting mini guide. You can find Part 1 here and Part 2 here. As mentioned in the guide, you can use this web app to test your posts. While the app has a significant number of HTML tags, most of them do not work on DB. If you have any questions or if I’ve made any errors/mistakes, please let me know.

    Thank you!

Does this mean we won’t be limited to 5 pics if we use this on our fanwall?

I haven’t tested that, but I’m guessing you’d still be limited buy the larger character world limit. I think it’s 1,000 or something. Either way, I think our fellow beanies might appreciate it if we didn’t go too overboard taking up half a page. 🙃

I know how to get round that character limit but like you said, I’m not about to post my thesis or something.

For the pics, I guess I’ll have to try. I’ve been wanting to post as many pictures as the kdrama psychopaths on their walls but 5 isn’t really doing the job.

About the hyperlinking, can we use it to post more than one video (say, from YT) on the fan wall?

Indeed. That’s the best workaround that I know of for that. Seriously wish the would allow you to embed multiple vids like GIFs and pics. One day.

    Hey, @hades!

I don’t know if you’re still on this site or see notifications, but I’m currently compiling a shared Google Drive folder of all the Beanie-created resources from this site. That includes spreadsheet comparisons/trackers, guides to how to interpret the site, etc. I just started it, so it’s still in it’s baby stages, but my goal is to have it be a one-stop location for new or continuing Beanies to find resources on how to get the most out of this site.

To date, I think your explanation documents below are the best explanation of HTML that I’ve seen on dramabeans. I’d love to make your resource more accessible! Do you still have those documents? If so, how would you feel about putting them in a Google Doc that can be shared with Beanies? You would maintain complete ownership of the document — I would just create a shortcut to it in the shared Google folder. Beanies would be able to see your resource, but they won’t be able to change anything (including me) — but you could update/change it whenever you wanted because it would be a live document.

Let me know if that’s something you would be okay with!
