Daddy Son – The Untamed
Saw these stills today and after reading @growingbeautifully posts about A-Yuan, I am reminded of this beautiful father-son relationship.
From someone who was embarrassed to be mistaken as a father when A-Yuan first hung onto his thigh in the marketplace and bawled his little eyes out, Lan Zhan has come a long way.

I love this picture of Lan Zhan giving daddy talk to Sizhui before the latter embark on his journey.

Beautiful pictures, especially love the poster with little Ah Yuan. I wonder what he said to daddy-to-be.

I wonder too. It’s such a heartwarming sight to see the usual no nonsense Lan Zhan letting A-Yuan run around him, make noise and sit on his lap. He only corrects A-yuan when he talks while eating.

From this encounter, we can even see how Lan Zhan takes promises or suggestive words seriously. He took issue with Wei Ying showing A-yuan the toys but not buying them. I don’t think it is because he didn’t know WY can ill afford the toys.

I love that death stare as he walks away…..

LOL! He wouldn’t be angry with WY, just exasperated. Like how he was when he told WY that he shouldn’t send the wrong signal to Mianmian.

yeah, that exasperated look too. But LZ has the best stares and glares of anyone in the whole show.

WY blithely explaining that asking and buying are two different things had me in stitches. He sounded so much like he wanted to know which one Ah Yuan liked so that he could buy it, only to walk away. Fortunately LZ has a warm and generous nature under all that exasperation and eye-rolling.

And, the actors who played Ah-Yuan, both young and old, were perfect and beautiful. Ah-Yuan’s story and their relationship was dealt with both visually and emotionally gorgeous. Thanks for the photos, they’re perfect as well. Sigh, this will never be matched.

I will never be able to un-know the fact that adult a-yuan is just one year younger than yibo 😀
Look at the sharp contouring on Hanguang-jun’s cheeks tho <3

Yibo looks more mature but it’s not just the looks, he has the aura which makes his Han Guangjun so convincing.

Of course, behind the scenes, it’s a different matter…

It’s interesting how LZ always follows WY lead, he’s not interested in the kid at the first glance, but once WY annonces AY as his son (jokingly of course, but LZ takes everything so seriously), he immediately sees AY in a different light… it’s the same with the rabbits and so many other things!!

Yes I love how interested LZ is in whatever WY is up to. He pays so much attention to the food WY eats, his childhood in lotus pier. The subtle changes in mood that only LZ can decipher. Gosh, this is making me want to watch the show again.
