    Wang Yi Bo irl is truly like the kid brother of Xiao Zhan in real life, it’s so precious and CUTE!!!! He really does admire and look up to Xiao Zhan as a person irl

      Not quite sure about “the kid brother” part … I do not understand the language and culture of big brother/little brother but watching the BTSs I felt they are like equal friends of same age (not the elder or Sunbae)… Wang Yi Bo is quite bold teasing Xiao Zhan all the time (maybe it’s just my personal interpretation)… first time I watched the BTS I thought they’re same age and seniority, I was shocked to find out WYB is quite younger and consider to be his junior

        Oh, when I mean “kid brother”, I really mean just that— Wang Yi Bo looks up to Xiao Zhan the same way that a younger brother would look up to his biological brother 🙂 Always following what he does, always turns to him for advice/for fun things to do/for conversation… I’m not trying to make any references to culture XD
        But it’s very true what you say, too!! Xiao Zhan is just so easy going and easy to talk to and doesn’t make it seem like there is that age difference between the 2 of them.
        In terms of experience being in the spotlight and working in the entertainment industry, Wang Yi Bo would actually be considered the ‘senior’, as he started out a year before Xiao Zhan did (2014 Wang Yi Bo vs 2015 Xiao Zhan)

          I’m totally unaware of XZ and WYB level of work seniority etc. Based on my own observation I feel that there is this mutual understanding, comfort and confidence between them that they look like same age friends rather than sunbae/hoobae or hyung/dongsaeng (not sure about the Chinese equivalent of theses terms)…

            That’s true!! They don’t seem to care about those formalities, which is great 🙂
            In Chinese culture, the senior/junior a.k.a. sunbae/hoobae formality is not something that’s really regarded when you’re all part of the same generation doing the same things, unless it’s in a situation when it’s really explicit, i.e. In this “Day Day Up” episode (www.youtube.com/watch?v=vl5NYFnseIE&t=1589s), the girl group that’s guest was mentored and taught by Wang Yi Bo at some point, so even though they’re all in the same generation in terms of age, the girls still call Wang Yi Bo “Senior” or “Teacher” and show a certain level of respect to him.

            Within Chinese culture, when you’re of the same generation in terms of age, the sunbae/hoobae thing is hardly an issue. It’s when the generations start to cross and you have older or elder actors/actresses/singers that you’re working with that you have to be a lot more conscious about these things and should address the sunbae as such in public settings–unless the sunbae is super chill and tells you otherwise– as a sign of respect. I imagine that drama/movie sets are when the formalities of these things matter most in the Chinese entertainment industry, since the cast of a drama/movie is always so diverse and made up of actors/actresses of all walks of life

            It seems like Chinese culture isn’t as stringent as Korean in regards to the age thing (or the sunbae/hoobae thing).

            And I agree @bebeswtz that WYB seems like a little brother compared to XZ. Maybe because they have the same dynamic me and my little brother or me and my little sister have with each other. The teasing, playfulness, the mock fighting, etc.

            Thanks @bebeswtz for explaining Chinese culture regarding the sunbae/hoobae… so it seems that the social restrains around seniority/juniority is not as tough as Korean system… Watching Korean entertainment industry for many years I was so both shocked and rejoiced to see that WYB teasing XZ so freely and comfortably!! Sorry I was not trying to generalize but I though Korean and Chinese work culture might have similar standards…

            Yea! They seem to have a really good and chill dynamic as the base foundation of their friendship 🙂 They share Xiao Zhan’s tea and neither of them feel awkward about it lol I don’t find it awkward either (I live in North America where everything and anything doesn’t take itself seriously) because I share food & drinks with my friends, too, but I wasn’t expecting it from THEM haha

            The Chinese cultural way of the sunbae/hoobae dynamic is definitely not as restrained and rigid as the Koreans, and I think that has a lot to do with the fact that Korean society is still very tiered, patriarchal, and backwards.
            That’s okay!! I can see where you’re coming from. Admittedly, many cultural things of Korea were indeed inherited and influenced from China in the ancient times–and have since then crossed over into modern times– since both countries are side-by-side 🙂

      I’d always wondered what his drink was as you see him (and WYB stealing it) in a few BTS videos. It looked gross to me lol but I also don’t like tea. But they are adorable like always 😆

        I think it’s just your regular ol’ Chinese green tea… In the second bts, at the 0:38 mark when Wang Yi Bo was describing the ‘goodness’ of Xiao Zhan’s tea, he said “綠茶”, which literally translates to ‘green tea’

        Oh, I’m a green tea lover!! It truly reduces inflammation and swelling and clears up my foggy brain in the afternoon (I add some dried rose buds as well)!! Highly recommended 🍵
