Kimbapnoona’s “End of the Decade” List Part 6

The Most Delightful Drama: Put Your Head on My Shoulder
All my favorite tropes (cohabitation, contract relationship, boy falling in love first) executed to perfection! The ML might look like a tsundere, but he is 100% beta who falls head over heels for our sassy heroine MoMo. Itโ€™s fluff because both leads are pretty much their mature selves from the beginning, except maybe Gu Wei Yi embarked on a steep learning curve on how to flirt (from the most unexpected bromance gang of a jealous labmate and ahjussi professor)

And also researching online about the female reproductive system after a not so successful first attempt (yes, that’s right, a youth drama went there 😱😱😱 wrapped in a #practicesafesex Durex PPL)

I just loved that Wei yi just wanted to be the best at everything for Momo. I mean, how often does that happen in dramas.

When he saw her grade sheet on him, he was not upset and there were not 3 episodes of miscommunication or emoting, he went out to see how he can get a 100% on it.

I was honestly surprised when they went there 😮 (to me, there seemed to be a lot of romantic tension- not so much sexual). Looking back, I like that Wei Yi didnโ€™t let it affect how he felt about himself or each other- he just focused on how it could be better next time.
The ending episode or so felt forced, but I loved it to pieces before then.

Love that about GWY too @artgirl!! His methodical approach is totally is consistent with the scientific spirit, even if most men would see that as an existential crisis of one’s manhood! 🤣🤣🤣

I get what you mean by the final couple episodes, but I was dreading for the worst since many dramas have a tendency to fall off the cliff toward the end especially when the expectation was so great. I am also glad that the drama got rid off quite a few of the more makjang plot lines the original novel has so for that I was grateful.

I feel you on the ending but then again, it made sense for those two. They were gonna be ride or die anyway and their cluelessness just helped them along.

I’m forever grateful of Youtube for recommending this drama to me. I was never really into youth dramas because I felt like I way passed that mentality but omg PYHONMS is so cute and fluffy and squeal-worthy but at the same time sensible and relatable. It’s my no.1 feel-good drama of 2019!
