Yes, that can get tricky. I know that nostril piercings are more socially acceptable, and I am seeing a lot more septum rings. I don’t work at a civil service library. We don’t have our official policy book completed at this time. I was given some general guidelines about staff appearance when I first started. But it’s not so strict over there. I know staff members who have tattoos. Thanks for your reply!

Just curious, do any of you have facial piercings? I have two nostril piercings and am contemplating a septum piercing in the future.

I don’t and no one in my branch does either, but the policy says that we can have piercings as long as they aren’t “distracting ”
