Jung Ho-yeon started out as a freelance model at 16 years old, walking in a couple of Seoul Fashion Week shows. In 2011, she auditioned for the second season of Korea’s Next Top Model, but bowed out of the competition after making it to Top 30. In 2013, she returned to the reality competition’s fourth season, where she finished as a runner-up. In 2016, she made her international runway debut at the 2017 Spring/Summer show of Opening Ceremony at New York Fashion Week. That same year, she walked the runway of Paris Fashion Week as an exclusive model for Louis Vuitton. In 2018, she made it to Model.com’s Top 50 Models in the World and then won the Asian Star Award at the Asian Model Awards in 2019.


Jung Ho-yeon debuted as an actress in the smash hit 2021 Netflix survival series Squid Game, which amassed a whopping 1.65 billion viewing hours on the first 28 days of its release. She took home numerous awards for her work in the drama, including the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series at the 28th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.


Jung Ho-yeon majored in modeling at the Dongduk Women’s University in Seoul. She is good friends with Blackpink member Jennie. She has been dating actor Lee Dong-hwi since 2016.
