Kim Jae-wook began his acting career with a minor role in the 2002 MBC series Ruler of Your Own World and then focused on modeling in the next five years. In 2007, he made a comeback to the small screen with a supporting role in the hit MBC romantic comedy Coffee Prince. In 2008, he starred in the comedy-thriller film Antique, which won him Best New Actor at the 16th Korea Culture and Entertainment Awards. In 2010, he became part of the main casts of the SBS series Bad Guy and KBS2’s Mary Stayed Out All Night. In 2017, he played an entertainment agency CEO in the SBS drama Temperature of Love, which scored him an Excellence Award nomination at the SBS Drama Awards. In 2018, he acted alongside Kim Dong-wook and Jung Eun-chae in OCN’s The Guest. In 2019, he was paired with Park Min-young in the tvN romantic comedy Her Private Life.


Kim Jae-wook lived in Japan until he was seven years old, thus making him fluent in Japanese. He enlisted for his mandatory military service in July 2011 and was discharged in February 2013.
