Moon Bin debuted as a child model in 2004 and had an appearance in TVXQ’s music video for the song Balloon in 2006. He then landed his first acting gig in the 2009 KBS2 series Boys Before Flowers, where he portrayed the young counterpart of Kim Bum’s character. In 2016, he debuted with Astro with the five-track extended play Spring Up. In 2019, the group released their first studio album All Light, which topped the Gaon Album Chart. That same year, Moon Bin appeared in the JTBC coming-of-age drama A Moment at Eighteen. In 2020, he and his fellow Astro member Yoon San-ha were launched as the group’s first sub-unit under the name Moonbin & Sanha. They released their first EP called In-Out, which featured five tracks including the song Bad Idea.

Moon Bin graduated from Hanlim Multi Art School. His younger sister Moon Sua is a member of the South Korean girl group Billlie, which debuted in 2021. On April 19, 2023, Moon Bin was found dead at his home in Gangnam, Seoul.
