I was thinking that Master Tang and Little Lamb already had reached that peak in their lives where their career took a hit on their physical and mental health. And there’s Bing Bing who still manages to be on top of his game. But now it seems like he is hitting the rock bottom as well with his future in hockey 😢 I will never be ready to see you go through such immense pain, but uri Ice God, Jia You! 👊 You can do this. Ooooof OTP! Careful there. My heart is very delicate right now. It broke into many pieces last night, tried to patch it up using a pink hockey stick tape job, but I’m doing a horrible job patching it back. 😭
And we’ve reached the tipping point. The part where all hell breaks loose and we try to understand this OTP conflict from their own perspective.
Bing Bing’s worst fear has come true. Just like that their relationship had ended 💔 I wish she had fought for their relationship harder because she agreed to call this quits way too fast. I understand the break up happened in the heat of the moment. They were both angry at each other, Bing Bing caught her lie through her teeth and Master Tang frustrated that there was not enough trust in their relationship.
With Master Tang’s personality, I can see why she would easily agree to break up. She’s temperamental. But Bing Bing has run out his patience too. It didn’t help he is completely misunderstanding things because he is being kept out of the loop! We’re seeing two sides of the coin here and it’s….. a very hard watch.
Master Tang has a heart of a gold. We love her for it. She is the defender of the weak and she cannot stand seeing anyone at a disadvantage, so it makes perfectly sense that she would want to do all means to protect Little Lamb, help him get out of misery. Because during the times she needed help, Little Lamb was with her too in those moments.
She is also a woman of words. Once she promises something, she keeps her words. But then what about what she did to Bing Bing? She, too, keeps promising him that she would make it up to him, but she failed and disappointed him over and over again. I think she took their relationship for granted. But then again, she had asked him to wait for her and trust her. But relationships are built with trust and communication.
I understand that she’s disappointed that Bing Bing didn’t trust her enough. Back in Episode 32 when he asked what was on her mind and she had brought it up to him, although he was grumpy about it, he did agree on checking up on Little Lamb. There is nothing communication cannot fix.
Onto the lying part – Master Tang has learned her lesson that not everything is black and white. That she has caught herself in this very situation where she too had to lie (It happened twice in her life – lie to her parents and to Bing Bing!), but this time around it was because it wasn’t her secret to tell.
That screenshot above when she replied back to her girlfriends asking them what was wrong with keeping a little secret? I was like! Hah! Now you’re in the grey area! You’re seeing it yourself that it’s not always easy to tell the truth.
But again! Master Tang – she has a heart of a gold. We’ve seen her forgive and forget Bing Bing’s lies too easily. She was not too hard press on him whenever she found out his lies to her. Now that she was in this situation, she had hopes Bing Bing to trust her more (like she did to him!). That he needed to trust her that there was more to the picture he’s seeing past those “little” lies.
Well, they are young. They will make mistakes over again. There will be nasty and petty fights. But looking forward to see the fight through all this. At the very moment, I do wish it is Master Tang who has to work really hard to get this communication thing going. I think it would be great to see her grovel this time around to win him. He had been doing this grovelling thing for a long time now. I want Master Tang to do the chasing this time! 😬😬

I am missing their elementary adult bodies 😂, so here’s a throwback to their time together in elementary.
While both experienced their childhood differently and Bing Bing hated pretty much every minute of his time in elementary, Master Tang had always been this big person in his life, both literally and figuratively. His defender from the other bullies.
Six years later, he is taller and has become the “big” person in Master Tang’s life. Protecting her when she is low spirited, constantly showing her how big his love is to her, giving her moral support when she needs it most.
I agree! I thought these scenes were really well done – switching their adult bodies into their childhood avatars, and then pairing each of them off with their own childhood versions. I was waiting for more of these scenes, but once they got all the childhood stories out of the way, they seem to have stopped using those characters.
It’s a smart use of their adult-children bodies really! Usually we cringe that adult actors would play highschool students in their flashbacks, but in this drama, they made fun of this concept and used them as what you’ve said their childhood avatars! It made the scenes much more hilarious. I was hoping these epilogues were consistent throughout the show; too bad they’ve stopped doing it.
Yes! It’s a shame they’ve stopped the epilogues altogether. I find the endings in the later episodes very abrupt in comparison with the first few. Those were useful to take the story forward, and were very funny! Maybe the editor changed or the writer’s/director’s vision changed.
I loved seeing these two adults in elementary school mode. Especially Bing Bing’s pouting and crying.
The kid actors were brilliant too. esp kiddo Bing Bing with his notorious looks.

Ahhhh I miss the babies wailing and screaming 😂😂😂😂 Master Tang wailing for losing her tooth and Bing Bing losing it too because Master Tang was crying out loud 😂😂😂😂
I don’t dislike him. I’m only on ep 4 I think, maybe 5. And I never disliked him. I will say those first couple of eps when he was being so mean irritated me. In the flashbacks to their youth she hadn’t done anything to him that was deliberately mean. Thoughtless? Yep. Pushy? Yep. Selfish? Yep. She was a kid. They are known for that behavior. And she had a crush on him. So she doubled down on getting him to focus on her. Everything he’s doing he’s doing deliberately to be mean. She never did anything to be deliberately mean. As of ep 4/5 anyway. Maybe she does something worst that will justify his decade long punkishness. But I like that even as he’s trying to cling to his desire for revenge he’s just kind of drifting along in a crush against his will!
But right now? Im all about Little Sheep and his wide eyed, “I think she’s nice”. She is!
In his memory, she was this biggest bully he needed to get away from. He couldn’t get away because he was this meek and timid boy who didn’t know how to say “no, I don’t like what you’re doing to me”. I see where he is coming from. The trauma was there for him. He still wakes up from nightmare because of her. It might not be a big deal to her, or it might be something she did because she wanted to get his attention, but the fact remained that his childhood was not fun because of her.
Fast forward to 6 years later, he planned to bully his ex-bully and show her he wasn’t the same boy she could easily order around anymore. That fired back though as early as ep 3 because she is a shameless and badass woman who will not take any bullshit from anyone. I started laughing out loud from the library scene she started threatening him of the crazy things she would do if he didn’t stop.
He won me as early as episode 2 in the locker scene because he jumped in a heartbeat and protected her from embarrassment. She was there in the boys’ locker room for whatever reason. He was supposed to despise her, yet, here he was, shut his locker door immediately away from any prying eyes.
And then he started getting curious why she doesn’t skate anymore……
I am totally not all caught up yet, but o don’t mind the spoilers 🥰🥰🥰
I will say this: I love the trajectory of their relationship—it starts out as being frienemies because of the misunderstandings and misinterpretation of how each of them saw their childhood friendship and experiences, then moved to sloooowwwwwly getting a ‘fresh start’ in a sense in their friendship, and I cannot wait til I get to the point where they finally date 😘😘😘 It just feels so natural for these 2 and not forced 🥰🥰🥰☺️☺️☺️☺️ It feels comfortable

Viki has its fair share of head-scratching subs. During the victory kiss, whenever Bing Bing called out to “Tang Xue!”, Viki translated that to “My Friend”… I’m like wtf? 🤨

As the second OTP had pointed out, I like that Master Tang and Bing Bing’s priority at the moment is their individual growth. Dating didn’t change their personal goal, rather they continue to be the source of each other’s energy and inspiration. They might not meet up often, but they know they are on each other’s thoughts all the time.
Master Tang was worried at the beginning that she might lose her individuality for dating the captain of the ice hockey team and only be labelled as his girlfriend. But she later realized, through the help of her girlfriends, that she could use that as her goal, catch up with him and stand on an equal footing with him. Ahhhh~ how to fall for my OTP more and more.
Yes so playful with each other but they grow as individuals and as a couple. I love that Bing Bing listened to his coach to talk to Master Tang about his worry. It’s all about communication that gets the relationship working. He’s got a really great coach; *eyeing at you Little Lamb’s coach*.

Last night’s episodes were great! As usual, these two continue to make me laugh, grab a hold of my heart, squeeze it tightly, pull on its strings really hard. My heart is very fragile right now. Deadly show I tell you ☠️☠️☠️☠️
So many things happened in Episode 21, and I’m glad that one of those was finally opening Bing Bing’s Pandora’s box. His traumatic childhood with Master Tang. I think more than being disappointed that Bing Bing was never honest to her about it, she was flabbergasted that their experience of their childhood together was at complete opposite ends of the spectrum. They had a trip down the memory lane and while it was a happy memory for her, for him – not so much. That made her take a step back and recollect a lot of things about her relationships with people. That horrifying thought that her friends were only with her because she had forced them to, that she had bullied her way into their lives. 🙁
Hopefully we get to see more of Master Tang and Bing Bing openly talk about their past tonight! I can’t wait for them to put this past behind, become better human beings, and start a new, happy, spazzworthy relationship!

It’s a fun show – so much better than the other cdrama romances I have seen in the past year! Bing Bing/Steven Zhang is great, but more than that, I’ve become a Janice Wu Qian fan for sure, now. She is like the queen of rom coms in cdramas, from what I can see, and this is by far the best I have seen her in.
I first saw Janice in Le Coup de Foudre and I love her character in Skate into Love much much better. I’m always for female leads who take no BS from anyone. And how Master Tang is not perfect either, but she works hard fixing her imperfect traits. 😍😍

But I totally don’t mind that it took them ep 21 to discuss about it. Too many crack up scenes each episode and it’s all about discovering many sides of them that they haven’t seen before. Time flies when I watch this show and the fact that we’re actually more than half way of the series already is a shocker to me. Still funny and heartwarming. The OTP plot line remains solid to me. I really don’t care much about the annoying af characters, but I watch the show for them.

I really liked that after their contract relationship ended, they’ve become much kinder to each other. They are more honest with their feelings and Master Tang opens up and tells him pretty much where her weakness and insecurities lie.
I liked that she acknowledged Bing Bing has changed. He wasn’t that timid guy anymore who would just stand in the corner and get bullied. He’s much braver and she admired his courage. Master Tang has a habit of protecting the weak, so I think it makes sense to me that when Bing Bing stepped in and did that overdramatic jacket twirling, she swooned. LOL. She’s into knights in shining armour. 🤣 She always protects people around him and Bing Bing was truly the first one who protected her. That locker scene in Episode 2 resonated with me because he jumped in to protect her in a heartbeat when he was….. supposed to despise her. I think he won me as early as episode 2 because of that scene.
To me, Bing Bing was not born petty, mean, and bully. Circumstances made him that way (he really didn’t have a fun childhood because of her), but when he realized he might have misunderstood what happened in the past and went overboard with his actions, he was genuinely sorry to her for what he had done. 💘 Gaaaaah I love their dynamics! 😭😭😭

I’m currently enjoying this show. Bing Bing is so petty and bitter, but you can’t really blame him when she was his nightmare. And that fact that in her memory, she had a great, fun childhood with him 🤣 And I love love Master Tang. She can be really rough at times especially with boys, but I love her “Don’t mess with me” attitude. She knows no bull. Looking forward to see her passion in speed skating come back. That scene in episode 4 gave me goosebumps. She definitely missed her time at the top of podium and that unfathomable feeling when she skates on the ice rink. 😭

Spoiler : Thoughts on Episodes 32 and 33
And we’ve reached the tipping point. The part where all hell breaks loose and we try to understand this OTP conflict from their own perspective.
Bing Bing’s worst fear has come true. Just like that their relationship had ended 💔 I wish she had fought for their relationship harder because she agreed to call this quits way too fast. I understand the break up happened in the heat of the moment. They were both angry at each other, Bing Bing caught her lie through her teeth and Master Tang frustrated that there was not enough trust in their relationship.
With Master Tang’s personality, I can see why she would easily agree to break up. She’s temperamental. But Bing Bing has run out his patience too. It didn’t help he is completely misunderstanding things because he is being kept out of the loop! We’re seeing two sides of the coin here and it’s….. a very hard watch.
Master Tang has a heart of a gold. We love her for it. She is the defender of the weak and she cannot stand seeing anyone at a disadvantage, so it makes perfectly sense that she would want to do all means to protect Little Lamb, help him get out of misery. Because during the times she needed help, Little Lamb was with her too in those moments.
She is also a woman of words. Once she promises something, she keeps her words. But then what about what she did to Bing Bing? She, too, keeps promising him that she would make it up to him, but she failed and disappointed him over and over again. I think she took their relationship for granted. But then again, she had asked him to wait for her and trust her. But relationships are built with trust and communication.
I understand that she’s disappointed that Bing Bing didn’t trust her enough. Back in Episode 32 when he asked what was on her mind and she had brought it up to him, although he was grumpy about it, he did agree on checking up on Little Lamb. There is nothing communication cannot fix.
Onto the lying part – Master Tang has learned her lesson that not everything is black and white. That she has caught herself in this very situation where she too had to lie (It happened twice in her life – lie to her parents and to Bing Bing!), but this time around it was because it wasn’t her secret to tell.
That screenshot above when she replied back to her girlfriends asking them what was wrong with keeping a little secret? I was like! Hah! Now you’re in the grey area! You’re seeing it yourself that it’s not always easy to tell the truth.

But again! Master Tang – she has a heart of a gold. We’ve seen her forgive and forget Bing Bing’s lies too easily. She was not too hard press on him whenever she found out his lies to her. Now that she was in this situation, she had hopes Bing Bing to trust her more (like she did to him!). That he needed to trust her that there was more to the picture he’s seeing past those “little” lies.
Well, they are young. They will make mistakes over again. There will be nasty and petty fights. But looking forward to see the fight through all this. At the very moment, I do wish it is Master Tang who has to work really hard to get this communication thing going. I think it would be great to see her grovel this time around to win him. He had been doing this grovelling thing for a long time now. I want Master Tang to do the chasing this time! 😬😬

I am missing their elementary adult bodies 😂, so here’s a throwback to their time together in elementary.
While both experienced their childhood differently and Bing Bing hated pretty much every minute of his time in elementary, Master Tang had always been this big person in his life, both literally and figuratively. His defender from the other bullies.
Six years later, he is taller and has become the “big” person in Master Tang’s life. Protecting her when she is low spirited, constantly showing her how big his love is to her, giving her moral support when she needs it most.

I agree! I thought these scenes were really well done – switching their adult bodies into their childhood avatars, and then pairing each of them off with their own childhood versions. I was waiting for more of these scenes, but once they got all the childhood stories out of the way, they seem to have stopped using those characters.

It’s a smart use of their adult-children bodies really! Usually we cringe that adult actors would play highschool students in their flashbacks, but in this drama, they made fun of this concept and used them as what you’ve said their childhood avatars! It made the scenes much more hilarious. I was hoping these epilogues were consistent throughout the show; too bad they’ve stopped doing it.

Yes! It’s a shame they’ve stopped the epilogues altogether. I find the endings in the later episodes very abrupt in comparison with the first few. Those were useful to take the story forward, and were very funny! Maybe the editor changed or the writer’s/director’s vision changed.

I don’t dislike him. I’m only on ep 4 I think, maybe 5. And I never disliked him. I will say those first couple of eps when he was being so mean irritated me. In the flashbacks to their youth she hadn’t done anything to him that was deliberately mean. Thoughtless? Yep. Pushy? Yep. Selfish? Yep. She was a kid. They are known for that behavior. And she had a crush on him. So she doubled down on getting him to focus on her. Everything he’s doing he’s doing deliberately to be mean. She never did anything to be deliberately mean. As of ep 4/5 anyway. Maybe she does something worst that will justify his decade long punkishness. But I like that even as he’s trying to cling to his desire for revenge he’s just kind of drifting along in a crush against his will!
But right now? Im all about Little Sheep and his wide eyed, “I think she’s nice”. She is!

In his memory, she was this biggest bully he needed to get away from. He couldn’t get away because he was this meek and timid boy who didn’t know how to say “no, I don’t like what you’re doing to me”. I see where he is coming from. The trauma was there for him. He still wakes up from nightmare because of her. It might not be a big deal to her, or it might be something she did because she wanted to get his attention, but the fact remained that his childhood was not fun because of her.
Fast forward to 6 years later, he planned to bully his ex-bully and show her he wasn’t the same boy she could easily order around anymore. That fired back though as early as ep 3 because she is a shameless and badass woman who will not take any bullshit from anyone. I started laughing out loud from the library scene she started threatening him of the crazy things she would do if he didn’t stop.
He won me as early as episode 2 in the locker scene because he jumped in a heartbeat and protected her from embarrassment. She was there in the boys’ locker room for whatever reason. He was supposed to despise her, yet, here he was, shut his locker door immediately away from any prying eyes.
And then he started getting curious why she doesn’t skate anymore……

I will say this: I love the trajectory of their relationship—it starts out as being frienemies because of the misunderstandings and misinterpretation of how each of them saw their childhood friendship and experiences, then moved to sloooowwwwwly getting a ‘fresh start’ in a sense in their friendship, and I cannot wait til I get to the point where they finally date 😘😘😘 It just feels so natural for these 2 and not forced 🥰🥰🥰☺️☺️☺️☺️ It feels comfortable

Viki has its fair share of head-scratching subs. During the victory kiss, whenever Bing Bing called out to “Tang Xue!”, Viki translated that to “My Friend”… I’m like wtf? 🤨
Anyways I switch back and forth between YT and Viki to see which subs make sense the most. I can’t believe I almost did not get Master Tang’s last name joke because of how it was weirdly translated on YT – “Tang Monk” 😣

Ya, that Tang monk line was so weird! I put it down to me missing some cultural context, and thinking it had some Chinese buddhist reference which I did not know about… Switching between the two sounds complicated!, but if it helps understand better, I might try it too.

As the second OTP had pointed out, I like that Master Tang and Bing Bing’s priority at the moment is their individual growth. Dating didn’t change their personal goal, rather they continue to be the source of each other’s energy and inspiration. They might not meet up often, but they know they are on each other’s thoughts all the time.
Master Tang was worried at the beginning that she might lose her individuality for dating the captain of the ice hockey team and only be labelled as his girlfriend. But she later realized, through the help of her girlfriends, that she could use that as her goal, catch up with him and stand on an equal footing with him. Ahhhh~ how to fall for my OTP more and more.

Bing Bing was soo cheesy right even the game started (pointing at her with his pink hockey stick and all) but soooo swoony at the same time! I love love love their love for each other. And how Master Tang, though slightly embarrassed by his display of affection, openly shows her love for him too. She ended up screaming and cheering “Champion! You are my champion”!! Like aaaaaaaahhh! Uri cheesy OTP! 🤯 Both of them love each other equally. Both put the same amount of love and affection into their relationship. That’s what I love about him. It’s so real. He wants to kiss her, hold her, touch her. All the feels you have when you just start liking someone. After the first kiss, he proudly declares that this is their first official kiss, but doesn’t stop there. He wants more. He asks her if they can kiss again and they kiss.
And I equally love that she is not coy. She is a bit shy at times, which seems natural, but she also wants the skinship. I love love 💕 that about these two.

Last night’s episodes were great! As usual, these two continue to make me laugh, grab a hold of my heart, squeeze it tightly, pull on its strings really hard. My heart is very fragile right now. Deadly show I tell you ☠️☠️☠️☠️
So many things happened in Episode 21, and I’m glad that one of those was finally opening Bing Bing’s Pandora’s box. His traumatic childhood with Master Tang. I think more than being disappointed that Bing Bing was never honest to her about it, she was flabbergasted that their experience of their childhood together was at complete opposite ends of the spectrum. They had a trip down the memory lane and while it was a happy memory for her, for him – not so much. That made her take a step back and recollect a lot of things about her relationships with people. That horrifying thought that her friends were only with her because she had forced them to, that she had bullied her way into their lives. 🙁
Hopefully we get to see more of Master Tang and Bing Bing openly talk about their past tonight! I can’t wait for them to put this past behind, become better human beings, and start a new, happy, spazzworthy relationship!

It’s a fun show – so much better than the other cdrama romances I have seen in the past year! Bing Bing/Steven Zhang is great, but more than that, I’ve become a Janice Wu Qian fan for sure, now. She is like the queen of rom coms in cdramas, from what I can see, and this is by far the best I have seen her in.

I first saw Janice in Le Coup de Foudre and I love her character in Skate into Love much much better. I’m always for female leads who take no BS from anyone. And how Master Tang is not perfect either, but she works hard fixing her imperfect traits. 😍😍
Ahhhhh~ I’ve fallen way too deep in this show. 😭 It’s hitting all the right buttons for me – OTP growth wise. I’m scared to get burned. Don’t burn me, show! Anyways Can’t wait to watch ep 22 and 23 tonight; hope they’ll be lovey dovey by that time and have gone past their childhood issues 😆😆

I agree! I didn’t like Le Coup de Foudre as a show at all, and couldn’t even finish it actually – I didn’t understand why everyone was fawning over it. This is so much better, and uses Janice Wu as an actress very well. It helps that Master Tang is paired with Bing Bing, who’s not the stereotypical tsundere ML. Indeed, both the actors are well-suited for their characters. From what I can tell of the trailers, I think the latest eps are going to make you happy 😀

And Yknow what, I even forgot that Bing Bing is some big hot shot in their university – smart guy, captain of the ice hockey team, everyone on the team likes him, he’s a nice dude too (other than his bullying his ex-bully) because he makes me laugh so much. Love even turned him into a cheesy blogger lol. I remember in one of his entries he was like: Ah- you smiled. My sky is brighter again. 🤣🤣 And I went back to the scene cuz I was so sure Master Tang did not smile LOLOL. And I couldn’t be more right – she merely smirked at him cuz she was weirded out Lolololol. Delulu Bing Bing 😆😆

But I totally don’t mind that it took them ep 21 to discuss about it. Too many crack up scenes each episode and it’s all about discovering many sides of them that they haven’t seen before. Time flies when I watch this show and the fact that we’re actually more than half way of the series already is a shocker to me. Still funny and heartwarming. The OTP plot line remains solid to me. I really don’t care much about the annoying af characters, but I watch the show for them.

I really liked that after their contract relationship ended, they’ve become much kinder to each other. They are more honest with their feelings and Master Tang opens up and tells him pretty much where her weakness and insecurities lie.
I liked that she acknowledged Bing Bing has changed. He wasn’t that timid guy anymore who would just stand in the corner and get bullied. He’s much braver and she admired his courage. Master Tang has a habit of protecting the weak, so I think it makes sense to me that when Bing Bing stepped in and did that overdramatic jacket twirling, she swooned. LOL. She’s into knights in shining armour. 🤣 She always protects people around him and Bing Bing was truly the first one who protected her. That locker scene in Episode 2 resonated with me because he jumped in to protect her in a heartbeat when he was….. supposed to despise her. I think he won me as early as episode 2 because of that scene.
To me, Bing Bing was not born petty, mean, and bully. Circumstances made him that way (he really didn’t have a fun childhood because of her), but when he realized he might have misunderstood what happened in the past and went overboard with his actions, he was genuinely sorry to her for what he had done. 💘 Gaaaaah I love their dynamics! 😭😭😭
BONUS: Just because he is soo hilarious in Episode 9 🤣🤣🤣 I love Bing Bing’s best buddy

I’m currently enjoying this show. Bing Bing is so petty and bitter, but you can’t really blame him when she was his nightmare. And that fact that in her memory, she had a great, fun childhood with him 🤣 And I love love Master Tang. She can be really rough at times especially with boys, but I love her “Don’t mess with me” attitude. She knows no bull. Looking forward to see her passion in speed skating come back. That scene in episode 4 gave me goosebumps. She definitely missed her time at the top of podium and that unfathomable feeling when she skates on the ice rink. 😭

Yeah, it’s not like BOF/Heirs bullying. it’s typical child play which he was forced to play with because he was too timid to say no he didn’t want to. To her, they were childhood friends. To him, she was his biggest nightmare. She couldn’t figure out why he was being so mean to her now after what they went through in elementary, but she’s ready to fight him when his bullying gets too much! 😅
