Beanie level: Noble idiot

To those who watched/ are watching Life, how is it? I only watched around 30 minutes of the first ep but it wasn’t what I expected at all and I got creeped out so I didn’t continue, but the cast is great and I wanna give it a shot because I like medical dramas, they usually have many interesting side stories and characters but I don’t want to get disappointed 🙁

    Ohhh Definitely keep watching! It is very different than the usual medial dramas, but I enjoyed it a lot! It’s not as much about doctoring as the politics involved in running a hospital, and all the ethical dilemmas that entailed. Besides my obvious one true bias/love for Jo Seung Woo, everyone in the cast is great. The secondary characters are just as interesting as the leads. My feels for Life are still all over the place, so my explanation/description might be sound as appealing. But I hope you give it a shot! 😀

      I swear it was the worst thing I’ve watched, I was grossed out the whole time, it was super cheesy and cringe worthy, just remembering it makes me feel sick 🤢 and infuriated, I skipped a lot of scenes though, I don’t think I could have survived if I watched everything. It was such a disgrace

        I watched it when I was still a drama newbie and didn’t drop dramas. Or skip scenes. (I still skip scenes only rarely.)

        I suppose I’m just not fan of the story in general (it is adapted from manga, I believe). I found the main girl to cringey – why would you openly like and pursue someone who probably doesn’t like you? And I didn’t like much how he was the genius, but she was stupid. Also, why would you choose your career based on the career of your boyfriend? I know she did have a revelation scene where she understood how great it is to help people but still.
        I did watch a big part of the Taiwanese remake though. I have no idea why. I suppose it wasn’t that terrible and cringey. And the main lead was cuter than in Playful Kiss.

          Same here, I was a newbie too and that’s why I didn’t drop it.
          The drama was nothing but flaws and stupid characters, so I didn’t even think about giving a shot to any of the remakes I don’t want to experience that again.
          It’s ok, don’t be sorry, I Won the bet yesterday so i’ll change it now …..yay

            I am afraid that the characters and storyline stay vastly the same. So don’t go there. If you hated the Korean version, the remakes won’t fix anything for you.

    iam the minority here… who watched PK and LOVED KHJ like anything (7-8 years back) and i can still recall all my giggling and cheek pains due to grins… i still love the drama though can’t say the abt KHJ…

Since it’s Day6’s comeback season, I can’t help but share some of my favourite songs from them ( I’ll try my best not to spam but I can’t promise 😂)

This is the one that hooked me , I don’t actually know whether it’s the first one I heard from them or not but I instantly liked it when I heard the first line. I can’t really relate to the lyrics directly but the song is so good to me regardless.

    Good luck with learning French! I know it is a challenging language and verbs are a nightmare!
    But, may I say that “une poule” lays eggs and is feminine while “un poulet” doesn’t and is masculine, so there is some sense to it! Somewhere! Sometimes!

        I know this quote isn’t yours and, although it is not entirely acurate, it encapsulates one of the paradoxes of the French language that we face all too often!
        I’m learning Korean right now and I share you predicament: language learning is haaaaaard!!! 😢

        Yup, I had to learn how to pronounce French, but in order to do that you have to learn some of the grammar and vocab. Once you know what’s going on, it’s not bad, but looking at it at first is terrible. Same with English, I guess (“eight”, “cough”).

While waiting for our national team\’s match tonight I finally finished the first episode of Big Little Lies , it took me like three days to finish it. It reminded me again why I always preferred kdrama to US shows , I felt so uncomfortable most of the time. The language and some scenes were just too much.
And then after that I was scrolling through the fan posts until an unknown number called me , I ignored it the first time and then they called again so I picked it up.
Me : yes !?
Caller : Is this miss *****
Me :no , wrong number
Caller: then who are you ?
Me : why on earth do you wanna know who I am when I told you that the number you\’ve called is the wrong one ?
Caller: just tell me who you are I\’m not gonna bite y-
And then I just hung up on her. Why does some stranger have to irritate me when my day is already not going so well ?
I\’m not ready to deal with anything similar to what happened in the last match , like all I\’m asking for is that they just score one goal , seriously we only participated in the world cup once in 1990 and we only scored one goal from a penalty that it\’s veracity is still doubted till today and the guy who scored the goal still brag about it whenever he appears on TV which is like three times everyday. Isn\’t this too much ? We need to score a goal to shush him. ……less than 20 minutes till the match starts and I\’m nervous.

    which team is ur national team.. i couldn’t figure out and dont want to guess incorrect one.
    Second kdramas are the best.. east or west kdramas are THE BEST.. no questions asked.
    Third.. That wrong number..i hate it.and esp when caller wants to know who am i..and i yell at him saying “do you want me to smack your head via this phone”
    Fourth.. world cup matches are torture esp if ur fav team is loosing (i am still in shock after german defeat) but to give you some support i hope your team performs well incoming matches. till then cool down, enjoy the world cup as a tournament and watch some light kdrama… i took Vitamin NGM to deal my anger cum pain last Saturday…

      Egypt ! We are out now but I wasn’t expecting much from them actually. All I wanted was a goal and I got it , so I’m not that upset and I’m not watching any more matches in the world cup. I’ll go continue watching Good Doctor. It’s good and yes Kdramas are the best.

I knew BTS by a mere coincidence while watching something on YouTube in June 2017. I checked out some of their MVs (specifically BS&T and Not Today) I have to say, I wasn’t that impressed by them. Maybe because I had a small issue with the lyrics of Not Today and the MV of BS&T. But the love their fans showed towards them and how dedicated their fans were made me curious about them so I made a little research about them. And that’s when I was truly impressed by their hard work, the issues they talk about in their songs, their messages, and their dedication towards what they love. They’ve changed my opinion about K-pop. I thought K-pop was just some pretty boys or girls dancing to some not-so-meaningful songs. But I was so wrong. BTS were much more than that. And I must say that coincidence was one of the best things that happened in my life. I’ve found comfort, motivation, and inspiration in their songs. I’ve learned a lot from them in the past 12 months. And they’ve helped me get through the worst days of my life as well as being with me in my happiest days to make them even happier. I can’t imagine how my life would be today if I didn’t find them. Although those 7 men don’t even know that I exist , I owe them a lot. I might just be a crazy fangirl but my love for them is true.

I thought a lot about what I would say to them if I actually met them one day and all I could think of was “Thank You for being the amazing persons you are and for giving us the chance to listen to some quality music”.

Happy fifth anniversary to my superheroes and my favourite singers and rappers on earth. I wish them all the best and love in the universe.

P.S I’m not good with words and English isn’t my first language so I’m sorry if some parts of this don’t make sense. And I apologize to beanies who don’t like seeing this kind of posts but I had to leave it on my fanwall.

Our Wi-Fi connection is FINALLY back , it’s been cut off for a week or so and I was about to die of boredom and I missed out on a lot of content in those few days , while I was trying to catch up with some of what I missed , I suddenly realized that it’s ONLY 5: 23 AM ( bangtan !! what have you done to me ?? I’m slowly becoming nocturnal 😭😭😭 which I hate so much ). They are dropping so many things here and there and now I feel lost and don’t know where to start.
I missed DB and I missed watching Kdramas so much , all the rambling was just to say that I missed being here. 💜 but now good night/day beanies.
(This version of spring day is so dang AMAZING that the beginning gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it 💕)

          He has been improving consistently since he left Chelsea, thank god he did , but this season he is just phenomenal. I believe it’s mostly because of Klopp and Salah’s hard work of course.

      Yes, he has definitely gotten better , and J-hope said that Jin is the main character in this comeback which makes me ridiculously happy as Jin had always been so underrated and his time to shine has finally come , he has one of the best voices I’ve ever heard and Awake explains it all, I hope he gets more lines in the future and and I also hope he is no longer ‘just’ the visual of the group !

Finals are finally over !!! Today\’s test was the last one and I did pretty well so it\’s time I treated myself , and what\’s a better treat than binge watching a good kdrama , but I\’m having a small issue here , Beanies ! I need your help , I have some dramas here on my plan-to-watch list and I don\’t know which one to watch first so someone give me some advice on where to start ,please!

    I haven’t watched SP, but I recommend the other three. If you want some romance, then start with CT. Otherwise you can watch the other two. I like FOS slightly more than signal, but that’s because it brilliantly handles just one case throughout its run, without getting boring.
    P.S-However, you might get a shock watching Dr. ye. He’s character is poles apart here.

        Not textbook definition of bad but yes his character veers more towards the negative end. Basically he’s a person who’s main motive is self preservation.

    I have seen all four of them but I’d go with Chicago Typwriter first if I were you. It has romance and Yoo Ah-in’s wig. And beautiful ost. 😀 I didn’t like the ending of Signal but just like FOS it’s an awesome drama. I loved the frienship in Solomon’s Perjury, and Jang Dong-yoon broke my heart in the drama.

    I’d say you could watch Go Back Couple with me – I’m on episode 3. BUT Chicago Typewriter is just amazing on all levels, so I definitely recommend it. 😀

      Maybe I should watch them both at the same time !? I’m very tempted to watch Jang Ki yong in something other than my Ajusshi and I also want to see Jang Nara on my screen again because I just love her, the shows I was watching are ending this week too so I have some free time .
