@marcusnyc20, and anyone else, I’m binging Never Give Up (Netflix) now and loving it. It’s not hard because I really really like Yoon Doo- Joon. But the story is simple and straight forward, and the other ML is really charming too. And Kim Tae Hun is also in it and I like him too. It’s a bromance with all the guys in this show and about enemies who were friends and enemies that become friends. The plot is realistic and engaging with the difficulties of starting a start up IT company, bumps in the road with being married, raising a teenager, and with a lot of human interest stories too. And I didn’t just tear up in episode 6. (I totally did.) Anyway, I’m enjoying it a lot. It originally aired on ENA. And yes, Extraordinary Attorney Woo followed it in Korea. I’m salty Netflix didn’t air this one concurrently. But better late than never. And it was No. 4 pm Netflix Korea when it aired. https://www.google.com/amp/s/m.koreaherald.com/amp/view.php%3fud=20220626000132

Thanks for the rec! I saw it on Netflix, and am trying to decide what to watch whilst Alchemy of Souls is on hiatus…🤔

I just started episode 8. It took me a good 3 episodes to get it under my skin.

Thanks @ally-le for the shoutout and I am glad you are enjoying NEVER GIVE UP. I am so glad it gets your thumbs up. Nice article also. My viewing card has opened up so I am about to start watching.
When I was still living in NYC I was able to catch many Asian films at the AMC 25 on 42nd St. It must have been around 2016 when I caught our ML Kwak Do-won in two of his movies which made an impression: the horror film THE WAILING and probably one of the most violent films I have ever watched: ASURA: THE CITY OF MADNESS. Both are not for the feint hearted lol.
We in the US are getting NEVER GIVE UP on Netflix less than 2 months after it finished airing on Netflix KOREA. I think that is a reasonable wait.

Yes, I’m glad it’s airing at all because when I heard it was ENA, I thought of resorting to the dark side. I’m so glad that channel is doing well though. I hope more k-dramas with a lot of heart continue to be produced on it.

I am also watching it and (rather surprisingly) enjoying it. It’s all over the place, I can’t decide if it is a comedy, drama, or something else. Case in point: the projectile vomiting scene. Wow.

I’ve watched three episodes and like it. I’m glad Netflix is airing it now. Unfortunately, it had low ratings and didn’t get much buzz when it was airing. ENA seems to have a full slate going forward, and with EAW’s success at least there will be awareness of their dramas going forward, whether they get good ratings or not.
