this is my first time watching period fantasy (?) chinese drama. i didn’t expect this good feeling while watching ML/FL gaze FL/ML. Like, my cheeks heaten unexpectedly. What’s this feeling called? omg

    Chinese dramas are very good in this respect. I guess that’s why Beans keep saying romance is a genre that Cdramas do really well.

      i’ve never ventured to cdramas since they have so many epsiodes. Finishing this particular drama encourage me to be brave and start watching cdramas 😆

        I’ve heard from Cdrama beans that there are a lottt of Cdramas out there, so it should be better to get recommendations. What I have heard are good are Love between Fairy and Devil, New Life Begins, Day of Becoming You, You Are My Glory, The Untamed, among others.

    Happy to be the one person on my own! I thought it was ok and give it average ratings.

    To give you context so you can make an informed decision I am happy with average dramas and watch a lot including the weekly or weekend dramas from back in the day. However, I am not watching It’s beautiful now because that had too much unpredictable distressing elements for me in the first couple of episodes so my tolerance of angst is very low. I can watch a bit, fast forward through those scenes if the rest of the drama holds me and that happened with Doom. I see some interesting storylines, some work some don’t and I get to see different actors so I can decide who I like. I don’t have many options in the rom com field that don’t have the genres I can’t handle mixed in so my choice is limited and therefore average is better than nothing.

    Leave it. It’s like going lost in a forest and seeing the same tree over and over over 16 episodes. I think I still have 4 episodes left to finish

    I passed on DOOM myself so I really can’t comment only to say SIG will be back next Monday (June 27th) in KBS’s CAFE MINAMDANG on Netflix US. I will be there. MDL reports that it will have 18 episodes.

        😆 That’s funny because I stopped watching Wmlb too. My husband finished it and loved it. I was trying to to remember the name before I texted you back and asked him,”What’s that boring, slow show you really like with that woman you think is the prettiest actress?” I couldn’t even get through it for Jinyoung.

    marriage is not hasty decision in the sense that they haven’t thought through it.. it is hasty in the sense that she wants to do it to run away from her real romance..

    when they decided to make a girl impersonate a crown prince, they knew marriage and kids would be major roadblock + monthly periods.. palace is full of scandals and secrets.. am sure they have thought through it and have a backup plan on how to deal with these things
