In the honor of my ultimate loves BTS singing the theme song for the Japanese remake of Signal, here’s probably my favorite Signal OST. The song just made the mood for the drama so well. Masterpiece.

I just finished the original Something about 1% and I\’m actually surprised by how not dated it feels.

Honestly I didn’t really get *feels* for any OSTs this year until the entire soundtrack of Just Between Lovers made me melt and now I’m listening to this on repeat. My ears are finally blessed.

    I love BumKey’s voice, totally swoony <3 and the lyrics are so appropriate to drama.

    On another note I am hoping for Seunggi to sing a song for this ost because I love all his songs too, and I found it hilarious that he was taunted in universe with his out of universe song Because you're my woman XD
    On yet another side note , I liked his longish hair in the first glimpse we got of the monkey king when they met for the first time.

      I died when Mawang started singing that song. I’d love to see the BTS moment of that shot. They must’ve had a blast.

      I think Seunggi will sing an OST. My fangirl heart cannot accept anything else.

      He looked so young with long hair. I still prefer the short one tho.

      On a different note, doesn’t he look SO HOT here compared to his other dramas? I looked cute and adorable mostly but in Hwayugi he’s so downright sexy. I swear if we can only make it through the 21 months, military does good things to our oppas.

Oh Gong\’s confession to Sun Mi is both the best and the worst thing ever. Best because you could see his sincerity in claiming the insincerity of his love. Worst because he hit her where it hurt most.

I had a few misgivings when yesterday’s ep of Hwayugi felt a little lackluster. Esp with all the bts issues. But I absolutely loved ep 4 and now I’m fully onboard to wherever the drama will take me

Everyone deserves a Son Oh Gong of their own to love and not eat them. But I am willing to settle for Son Yook Gong as well. As long as Lee Seunggi is the one giving it to me.

Just started Boss and me. Post ep 1 takeaways:
1. I need to shut my inner feminist up to accept the premise that unmarried girls are indeed failures in life

      But the story seems cute so far so I’m not dropping it for now.

        then I am also watching the remake of You are my pet (japanese). It has so much cuteness, skinship and cuddling even if the heroine cries a lot but it is not angst, really. 99% of the characters are such good people or will become good people that it feels like no evil exists in that world except for one sleezy bastard, but he fades out into oblivion. I just wish they´d explored some side characters more, becuase they were so unique and strong.

    Have you seen 1% of Something (2016)? There is a slight bit of angst in there, but overall cute.

      By the way, I would be careful with modern C-Romance Dramas. They tend to go off the rails, badly so.

        I have, and absolutely loved their chemistry (by which I mean proper kisses). I wish I had more Ha Seok Jin in dramas. I probably have watched every kdrama ever, but don’t take my word for it.

        I really don’t know, I haven’t watched many CDramas really. Which ones would you suggest?

          Love O2O is the only one I ever end up suggesting. TBH, I haven’t watched more than a handful of straight (heterosexual) C-Dramas, so my word of caution may have been without merit. Then again, the BL side isn’t much better. Maybe there might be better C-Dramas out there and I just haven’t seen them yet. If ever you find one, do let me know though. I’m always on the lookout. BTW, if you don’t mind a Taiwanese drama, I just finished When I See You Again. It’s a guilty pleasure tbh, but it has just the right mix of cute and angst.

    My Mr. Mermaid was cute. My Amazing Boyfriend (similar to You Who Came from the Stars, thought I didn’t see it). My Little Princess. When a Snail Falls in Love is cute, same author as Love Me If You Dare. C-drama.
    Bride of the Century wasn’t angsty in the romance, though they did have some pretty big obstacles. k-drama

        On a diff note, I was mindbloen to find out that the idol sibling of Hong Ki in the the drama was played by Jung Hae In. Our Batman police from While You were Sleeping and Captain Yoo from Wise Prison life. He looso different!! Did anyone else notice?

I have never been more disappointed in a next episode preview. Angst incoming, and I see hints of noble idiocy too. I just want my Kang Doo to be happy. Ugh.

        Just between lovers. It’s beautiful. Highly recommended. Despite me ranting about the angst, it’s hurt so good.

        Also, beanie beanies would be awesome.

    Thank you. He looks so good in that beanie…on a boat. JBL has been littered with angst and now it’s going to tip us over but I’m ready-ish. They’ve got to deal with their scars and survivor mentality to be able to find some peace and contentment.
    ….but I just want them happy too.

      Exactly. They have an uphill battle with themselves. But my poor little bruised heart cannot take the incoming angst. Can’t I just fast forward to when all episodes are released (and WITH A HAPPY ENDING) and binge my way to contentment?
      I can already feel my heart breaking next week.

Every writer should take a lesson from Just Between Lovers and Lee Kang Doo to show how a hero can lash out without being an asshole. The last scene of ep 7 broke my heart and made me cry buckets.

      The entire sequence I was waiting for him to lash out at her, for forgetting and being okay but when he didn’t I realized I was too used to people acting like dicks in dramas. Instead he just broke my heart to million tiny pieces. I will never recover.

Despite their issues (and history) the main couple of Just Between Lovers has one of the healthiest relationships in Kdramas and it is so rare to see people who treat each other as equals fall in love

    They might be have obstacle along the way through their relationship. It might be something to do with his violence and ptsd issue which she doesn’t know about

      There probably will be conflicts, given it’s a drama. But I love the dynamic between them, the way they are in equal footing and one does not have any power over the other like in many other stories (side eyes Black Knight, INAR, Jugglers – and basically every other drama).

Rewatching ep5 made me realize how artfully Just Between Lovers uses silence. The sequence after Kang Doo woke on rooftop is the best I’ve seen in a long time. I felt his loneliness like it was my own

Not giving in to temptation to watch Just Between Lovers raw is the biggest struggle my selfcontrol has faced till date. I don\’t care if Junho is killing me in pics I\’ve seen so far. I DON\’T 😭😭😭😭
