From what I saw in the teaser, A Time Called You is very similar to the original version. They seem to remake the iconic scenes with different language and actors. Won’t it be called plagiarism then? And Ahn Hyo-seop already seems to fail to live up to Greg Hsu’s performance. Jeon Yeo-been and Kang Hoon still look good so far. Hope this will be a good project for Kim Jin-won🥲.

    Ahn Hyo-seop looks completely sparkleless, while Greg Hsu was like a sparkling rainbow in every scene.

      Yeah if this will be an almost exact copy then Ahn Hyo-seop is going to fail miserably to play both Wang Quan-sheng and Li Zi-wei. He looks and speaks just like Seo Woo-jin to be honest.

        It doesn’t help that I’m watching Unlock My Boss and Chae Jong Hyup reminds me SO MUCH of Greg Hsu! He would have been perfect both as Wang Quan-sheng, and as Li Zi-wei.

      Greg Hsu is a natural, very charismatic without even trying.

      Anh Hyo-seop has been improving but I’m afraid there’s still some gap. Funnily enough, my favorite character of AHS is Chan from 30 But 17. If he could channel the Chan energy into this drama, it’s then worth anticipating.

      Sorry if I offend you in any way, I’m not trying to be disrespectful. It’s just based on the teaser alone I saw very similar iconic scenes from Someday Or One Day, which in my personal experience is quite rare for a Kdrama adapted from or based-on other sources (and with the never ending accusation of plagiarism about idols’ songs I assume it is a sensitive subject in South Korea).

      But I just read Asian Wiki called it a remake, I assume means they’re renewing the old version. So probably the similarities are justified.

    It’s not plagiarism if the Korean production team went through the proper avenues to acquire (buy) the copyright of the original to make an adaptation 👍🏻

It’s 2 episodes in a row KTL’s ending is uncomfortable to watch. The Dispatch style camera capturing them kissing is nauseating. It happens to real life celebrity and to have your private moment taken without your consent is🤢

      I used to go to the illegal site before but I’m at the point if the movie/series I like is not on Netflix or Disney+ I won’t bother to look for it lol.

    It’s so fun and funny, I’ve seen it twice!! I’m glad you enjoyed it!! Have you seen Luck Key? It’s an excellent comedy with action that has a similar vibe in some ways.

Just a random thought. I want Junho to play in a second chance romance or as a single dad a baby girl. I want the struggle, the pain, the angst. Maybe I’m just so ready to start watching My Dearest. I guess the sweetness overload from KTL is finally getting too much. But I will persevere until the end🔥🔥🔥

    I mean, do you remember how he held that candy fish in the marketplace? Bouncing it in his arms exactly the way one might a fussy infant? He’s got practice with someone’s kids, that’s quite clear.

    Here’s to the “Junho dad drama!”…so long as he doesn’t then just hand off all responsibilities for the kid to someone else (female) at his first opportunity 🙂

      I know he will be good to kids because of his nephew. And married couple seems to be in trend lately, can he star in one as well? Idk I just want his character to suffer a little bit lol. I guess a little too much of everything is never good. I remember I want him to be happier on his next drama after TRS.

My mom came to visit today so I made her some jajjangmyeon. This time I tried Seonkyoung Longest’s recipe. I like this one better than the previous one that I tried using Maangchi’s.

      I only cook both recipes once but I think Seonkyung’s tastes similar to the takeout/restaurant ate before. She uses more ingredients than Maangchi does. Maangchi’s tastes milder, like home cook meal.

    It looks TASTY! And I was a bit surprised, in a good way, to see someone said they found a recipe better than Maangchi’s. I always use her recipes if I ever crave some Korean dishes!

      I still make kimchi and fried chicken once in a while using Maangchi’s recipe. She’s still the best all around. I love her and her positive energy. Can’t believe she’s in her 60s.

    Did you make the black bean sauce from scratch for this or use a ready-made?

      Please correct me if I don’t understand you correctly. Yes I made the jajjangmyeon sauce from scratch, means: I used choonjang (black bean paste/sweet bean paste?) to stir fry with other ingredients to make the sauce, not the one you reheat and pour on top of the noodle.

      Sorry I got confused because I ever read people refer choonjang as “sauce”, and I definitely didn’t make that from scratch. But I use it as the base for the jajjangmyeon sauce.

I was just reminded of We Got Married watching the latest episodes of KTL. One day is a date in Jeju, one day in the market, one day in Thailand. And why are they together? because the PD chose them lol. I still love Junho btw.

Okay I finished Call It Love in 2 days. I’m seeing weird right now.

I love it, it’s very refreshing watching the story of regular people without fancy background and too much makeup. Their happiness is so hard earned I cannot help but be happy for them. Lee Sung-kyung is great here.

I kind of forgot how good looking Sung Joon is. He probably should do movies instead of drama to find more success. I just think he looks and acts the best when he is not pampered to the nines.

    There are so so many good looking actors who NEVER appear in the “more handsome Korean actors” typical video edits on YouTube, Tik Tok, Insta, etc…

      He’s pretty lowkey, compare to his model friends I think. He doesn’t have many dramas with good ratings either, I get that not many drama fans pay attention to him.

    It’s a great show! I wish I could have binged it. It was so hard waiting in-btwn episodes. I’d be there refreshing my browser every 30 seconds before the next episode dropped.

      After finishing it I was torn thinking I shouldn’t have binged it. Because the pink tone is too much for 2 days straight lol. I was afraid I would lose interest mid watch during real time watching, that’s why I saved it.

    Yep. I watched this and Island and couldn’t help seeing how charismatic he was. But he’s also in one of my favs, White Christmas. I loved Call it Love. KYK has my heart as well.

      Is Island any good? I don’t really like supernatural being, but Sung Joon looks hot with his white hair. Yeah White Christmas is great, should schedule a rewatch soon.

I was shocked they shot all those Netflix promotions in 1 day. I mean I saw 2PM’s Oven Radio in 5 sets of clothes but the same hairdo and footwear, but this is next level.

    I honestly do try to stay away from actors’ vlogs and their actual lives (that’s just something important to me), but I find that I’ll always click for Junho.

    Him in that wedding hat!! What excellent evidence that wearing that is exactly as annoying as it looks…and I love how he ends up amusingly exasperated that the beads are getting in the way of us seeing his face. 🥹

The reason the Arabian Prince speaks Korean because of his first love is so funny😂. It\’s reasonable and very on-brand with the whole show where anything can happen lol. Surprisingly Junho\’s English is not bad either. He’s come a long way since “my name is 2PM” days.

KTL is secretly Junho’s audition tape to enter a superhero franchise.
Gu Won is loaded (so he is the rich with too much free time type, not the mutant type), has a castle, has a butler, has a sidekick, has a pretty love interest that sometimes needs saving, can handle multiple vehicles from sports car up to parachute, can jump off a cliff without a scratch (reckless vice checked), wears some sort of tight uniform but looks good in civilian clothes (that gray hoodies😍), and exist in another universe cleaning an influencer’s house.
