I’m sorry, but it’s not the same case..yeah, when we talk about cancel culture in general it’s a grey area, people can have different opinions about it, I see your point..

..but the amount of harassment people involved in these dramas have been subjected to should not be excused, and honestly just results in undermining the original issue 😭
They’re treated as if they’ve committed treason, or something..now, does a controversial king (that lived around the 15th century) that killed friends and family to solidify his power even deserve this privilege? He might have done some great things, but who knows what got lost or was hidden in the centuries that have passed since he lived..

And about Mr Queen, there was one joke that people did not like, it got edited out, production apologized and
everyone moved on..it received tons of love for 2 months consistently, everyone was praising the actors, they gave the finale one of the highest rating of all time (for cable channel) and now a month later???
Suddenly the actors are the evil, deserving of hate, the drama has been wiped out from korean video platforms (plus youtube) and it will probably be a taboo topic from now on….I guess good job knetz? :/

Also, a reminder that this is koreans vs koreans, there is no other culture involved, no minority vs privileged, just different takes on the same topic (with one voice clearly being way louder)
