Beanie level: Errand boy

I’m really enjoying Memories of Alhambra and Boyfriend.

I’m absolutely loving Top Star Yoo Baek and My Strange Hero.

I’m practically obsessed with SKY Castle.

But Just Dance? This show has officially ruined me. It’s gone from being my top airing drama to being one of my favorites of all time. That’s the only reason to explain why I’ve watched all 6/12 episodes multiple times and love it more and more every time I watch. It’s completely invaded my heart and I don’t need to be consciously thinking of it for it to make me feel all warm and fuzzy and wonderful. The lead characters are my favorite thing. All the characters are my favorite thing. Everything from the friendships to the growing pains to the romance makes my heart alternately ache and flutter in the best possible way.

I was wondering why this drama seemed made for me and then I realized. It quite literally started airing on my birthday and ends on Christmas. This makes sense as this is definitely the best b-day/christmas present I could ever ask for from Dramaland.

Ok, now I’m slightly spooked. Gangnam Beauty also briefly played the other song I listen to everyday! Whoever is in charge of music is clearly after my heart…

Also need to give Gangnam Beauty some props for featuring one of my favorite Hyukoh songs in the 2nd ep. I literally listen to this song almost every day. I love the one shot MV for it. The choreography is so graceful and understated.

BAHAHA. Omg. I love it. Really, this over-the-top parting-of-the-umbrellas scene should have just been ridiculously cheesy. Then all the boys closed their umbrellas to follow him. Aaaand it officially became the best thing ever to me. I seriously can’t stop laughing, this is just too good 😂😂😂

I found this awesome cover of Dear Moon after replaying IU’s live performance of it like a thousand times. I miss My Ajusshi so much, so searching for every version of this song seems like marvelous use of my time right now. Of all the recent shows, this was the one I longed to discuss the most. Also, I had issues sharing IU’s performance here, but for My Ajusshi fans who haven’t checked it out, I’m posting the link in the comments.

So happy tvn released BTS for Ha Suk-jin’s cameo. I’m not surprised they had such a hard time keeping a straight face when they were rehearsing! He was really committed to his role, lol!

Um…I don’t think we’ve ever interacter before, but…I love you <3 Thanks for posting this! *fingerhearts*

Hehehe, I mostly need to wait to spazz until later, but couldn’t wait to share how Doctor Ye with a tambourine is my new favorite thing! ROFL.

The odd thing? Usually I would be completely seduced my Min-ho! The boy falling hard for the girl he once rejected is another catnip of mine, especially with the growing comfortable friendship between them. But something about the quirky, sunny vibes between Bo-young and Doctor Ye as they look out for each other, her with her unabashed devotion and him with his moral uprightness, I don’t know, they just got me.

Doctor Ye has qualities that remind me of certain second leads I never even considered rooting for, despite how nice they were and this should either make me nervous for my ship or have me not shipping them at all. Yet somehow his hilariously stiff “May I give you some advice?” + general adherence to his values + his sweet tendency to appreciate Bo-young’s oddities when most will laugh at them all combine in this really endearing package that makes me totally get why she’s so smitten with him and just want him to be smitten back.

Oh and I love Imagi-Ye. So much that I’m gonna need Real-Ye to out-do him sometime down the line. Alright, Show?

So. I caught up with A Poem a Day last week. And aw, you guys, I could cry. Some beanies may know, though most probably don’t, due to my general lack of commenting lately, but love triangle done right is a recently discovered catnip of mine. And this drama teases and fleshes out both ships in such a fun, exciting, and genuine way, that just slightly manages to keep you guessing (and driving you crazy!). I adore it, even more so for how it completely snuck up on me.

I have so many random thoughts and musings I want to share about this show now and I have a feeling its going to be the one to really knock me out of my posting slumber. For now, I’ll summarize: Cry Baby Woo Bo-young is the bees-knees. I could love her with either of them, because I just love her happy. But I am firmly on the Ye-line, though not completely opposed to Min-ho stealing me to his ship (I just might resist until the end). I’ll admit, though, for some reason, I don’t think my ship is in danger of crashing.

Welcome to the Forgotten Poets Society! Regardless of which ship you board, I think we are all Team Bo Young. This beanie is on the Island of Neutrality for the sake of survival, but remains partial to the Ye Liner. I can’t wait for saya’s weecap. Let the flood of tearsposts begin!

Partial to Ye Liner – spot on to what I’m feeling right now. I’m on the Island of neutrality, but constantly checking out the Ye liners’ ship in case it’ll sink, as if I could swim though 😂😂😂

Welcome to the poet society. And am I so glad you a Ye liner? Yes, I am….even though our ship is riding on tremulous waves…

Also, I love these compilation videos JTBC keeps releasing of all their highlights of the week. Especially this recent one of Son Ye-jin. She is undoubtedly one of most charming actresses and truly the best at making me feel her emotions as if they’re my own. I’m so glad I finally get to watch her in a drama deserving of her talents, such a long time after Alone in Love.

I’m with you. “Alone in Love” was her last good drama and with a great co-star in Kam Woo-sung.
Everything else after that was forgettable.

Well, I was supposed to post for Waikiki in its final month, but while the show continued to be a bright spot in my week, I was just too ruined between school, work, and these two.

Yes, I have been silently obsessing over Pretty Noona. I want to join the ep 1-6 recap but I don’t know what to add, other than giving a detailed description of how much they make my face hurt from smiling. The couple has been so giddy-enducing and realistically portrayed since the beginning, but this week they took it to another level for me. Both Son Ye-jin and Jung Hae-in have fully inhabited their characters and I love that the drama actually took the time to build up to the “I love you” moments between them. Those scenes were already raw and beautiful, but then this scene happened, and it was even more perfect in displaying how much their relationship has deepened.

And, really, that’s about all I can manage for intelligent commentary here, lol.

I think that’s all the recap post is. Squeeing over how cute they are.

YASSS. How did JTBC know I needed a compilation of all Joon-ki’s amazing performances?! Hopefully we’ll get many more from him in the coming episodes!

Joon-ki and Chewbacca are my favorite pairing on this show, but these two are seriously growing on me, lol.

It’s actually refreshing to see Doo-shik spewing curses like that. 😆😆

You know it’s about to get interesting when Doo-shik dramatically takes his glasses off, LOL.

Yay! My favorite show is back! I missed it almost as much as I missed having time to post on dramabeans! Can’t believe I haven’t posted on my fanwall since November. I’ve pretty much been lurking since Go Back Couple ended, even with some good shows like INAR, Just Between Lovers, and Prison Playbook. I promised I would let myself post more for the last 10 eps of Woohoo Waikiki though!

This show has grown on me so much. Oddly enough, the constant humiliation and hardship the gang brings upon themselves each week has become a great source of comfort for me during a stressful time. Every character/actor just has such wonderful chemistry with each other and I can’t get enough of their hilarious antics! I love all the potential pairings. And I especially love the ridiculously over-the-top comedy, which somehow still manages to be really fresh and clever (most of the time). I watch the episodes multiple times each week so this is a rare case when I’m grateful for the extension. There is just something comforting about this group of misfits and their ridiculous struggles. They’ve definitely been making life a little bit easier to get through!

Was there anymore gross-out humor after ep 4? Because I will probably pick this show up again…

There’s been nothing like the gross nose-picking scenes, which were the hardest for me to watch.
The show begins to mix the humor with more heartwarming moments and has better character development starting with eps 5 and 6. That said, there’s still plenty of second-hand embarrassment to be had.

Yaaaayyyyy!!! Welcome back, Chandler! It is so good to see your post again. Hope all is well with you!

Thanks!!! I’m so excited to join in more again! Watching dramas just isn’t the same without my fellow beanies 😄

Lol, so BTLIOF inspired me to add this channel, Catopia, on to my roku. It’s pretty much just a constant stream of cat videos and what first came on my screen could not have been more fitting 😂😂😂

Not gonna lie, I got twice as giddy watching the BTLIOF date scene because of MeloMance’s appearance playing this song! I actually have become completely obsessed with them recently, after all their recent OSTs! And I’ve been listening to this song, in particular, all week 😍

Saaame! I knew it was coming because Jung So-min posted a video on her instagram a few days ago, but it still made me so happy! They’re so good!

So, Because This Life is Our First Ep 12 managed to make that kiss those many, many kisses even better, hehehe 😍 And, finally! I love a heroine that ignores any and all distractions 😏

Ooof. Because This Life is Our First doesn’t mess around. Yesterday, my heart couldn’t take the sweetness, but now my heart can’t take the pain. How can it hurt so much already!? One scene in particular broke my heart this episode and I need to talk about it in the comments. Glad they released this song along with the happy ones so I can have something to cry to while I long for next week! 😭

Okay, so Se-hee taking Kitty away from Ji-ho and her discarding that collar she made….just destroyed me. I mean, if this was already the most painful thing ever, how am I gonna handle this? Honestly, never mind, I can’t even talk or think about it, it stings too much! 😖💔😭

    10
    1

I was clutching my heart at that because OOF IT HURTS. Then when Ji-ho “retaliated” and I saw poor Se-hee’s face. And the preview!!!! I can’t even be happy that it looks like it’s progressing to romance because PAIN

Yessss, Han Yeri also pulling for season 3! I was going to say that Choi Ara and Kim Min-seok need to stop being so cute behind the scenes, but then I realized they’ve already stopped filming 😭
