I had serious Healer withdrawal syndrome. I have a bosom friend who even, in her dream, saw JCW riding his motorbike next to hers on her way to work 🙂 Suspicious Partner was ok imo, fun enough for entertainment purpose, and its plus point is that Noh Ji Wook is a likeable male lead, who doesn’t show typical male lead traits that we hate but quite often see in Kdramas. Apart from that, JCW’s other projects after Healer were mediocre and silly. I think the success of Healer was thanks to the ensemble cast, the direction, the scripts…, a whole package. But JCW as an actor alone doesn’t have the weight to carry a drama on his own (yet)?

Sageuk is not my cup of tea, especially long sageuks, but recently I have watched and enjoyed the 51-episode Empress Ki just because of JCW. It is indeed a classic, but the ending is too sad to my taste. When I almost lost hope in JCW, I found Junho. But I am not ditching JCW :”>, I am waiting for his upcoming “The sound of magic” in 2022. Hopefully it won’t disappoint. I am not very confident, though, I must admit.
