Beanie level: Water maid

I saw Voice of Silence and damn, Yoo Ah In not having any lines in this movie really elevated my appreciation of his craft as an actor. His microexpressions, stance, subtle movements… slow 👏🏼 clap

I suspect he will get awards for this. I can’t wait to see it.

I hope he does!!! I finished the movie forgetting he didn’t have any lines. His use of his entire body from head to foot was enough to tell his story.

He’s so good, and he’s with Yoo Jae-myung from Stranger season 1. It’s quite an achievement to be so eloquent and not utter a word.

Anyone know if an eng subbed “You Quiz on the Block” [specifically the ep with Gong Yoo] is available on any legal streaming platforms? 🥺

I ship #TeamDoSan for Dalmi, #TeamJiPyeong for myself 🤣

Lol that fistfight was so.. random? It does affirm how much growth Do San needs (remember the shattered nameplate?). But I was just LOL-ing at how unnecessary that was to the situation they were in.

I FF it. It was utterly embarrassing and needless.
I really don’t know what this writer wants anymore.

Appreciation post for this chaotic ray of sunshine. Always providing us with well-timed breathers in this week’s emotion-packed episodes.

Wtf was that Alice finale 😣

3
1

Alice finale episodes were starting to make some acceptable semblance of sense (in the context of time-bending dramas, that is) with the time reset until the last 15 minutes of the show and a living Park Jin Gyeom shows up. I mean … ???

And no one ever explained how 2050 Tae Yi that went back to 1992 looks exactly the same as 2020 Tae Yi with no signs of aging AT ALL. Isn’t she supposed to be/look 30 years older by then???

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, I am still salty that Min Hyuk died just like that!!! What a waste of character… we never even got a chance to know him beyond surface level of his loyalty to Alice and his love for Tae Yi. Honestly, I’d be much happier if that architect at the end of the show was Min Hyuk rather than Jin Gyeom. That’d make much more sense to me.

I’m officially taking a hiatus from any time-bending related kdramas, TKEM and Alice this 2020 alone has exhausted my brain as it tried so hard to suspend logic for the sake of appreciating the show.

      i don’t get it..

did she truly love him or not..

and what is she upto now.. just wants to own the company and be a career woman.. or wants to take revenge on hubby’s death.. or is just fed up of men looking down on her (hubby, father, brother, secy, ex bf).. and wants to just burn the world?

Its actually not that convoluted, she was brought up a certain way where end justifies means and money rules the world. Her husband knew it when he fell in love with her and loved her anyway but that ultimately killed him when it got too much for his conscience to bear. Maybe, he thought their love would make things different for her, for them, who knows. She is not a different person, it was because of her involvement that her husband betrayed his mentor, senior aka Eun Su’s father. You can love a decent man and be absolute trash otherwise. Its just now that her husband isn’t there to hold her back, her claws are fully out. Is she conflicted, yes but her husband is dead and she is the one left alive, I doubt she will change much now.

        1

If she gives an inch she loses. She does not want to lose. But not just for herself, for him in a way. On some level I think she feels like she’s fighting a war with her father and brother that killed her husband. She can’t let them win that war and that’s all she cares about right now.

          1
          2

I agree that she doesn’t want to lose but she is playing by the exact rulebook her father and brother play by and she has a child to think about, the one her husband very selfishly left behind. She is on self preservation mode and that is for herself and her off springs only. Considering how the writer keeps it real, I don’t see her doing anything to change status quo. She is not any more likely to change her nature, greed than Seo Dong Jae is likely to not be a weasel. I think each and everyone of us lie to ourselves to rationalize our behaviors, our actions to an extent. I wouldn’t be surprised if that is her thought process to make peace with who she is and reality of her marriage and Lee Chang Jun’s death.

I don’t think she’s really clear herself. That’s what she knows. But when she visited DJ in hospital, I was blown away by her evil parting comment.

I was hesitant with Alice due to my time-bending drama PTSD (Post-TKEM stress disorder). Finally caved in and wow is this a gripping, fast-paced drama!! May this heal my TKEM scarred kdrama heart.

Gong Yoo!! Bae Doona!! In a sci-fi thriller!!! All my favorites in one!!!

Knowing how picky Gong Yoo is with his projects, and how much I love every single one Bae Doona is part of.. ahh so excited!

I’m there. I’m THERE. Does Bae Doona ever choose a bad script? (i’m speaking as someone who doesn’t count her part in Jupiter Ascending)

I wasn’t much of a fan of Sense8, too (or maybe I dropped that show before it started proving me wrong) but hey, her outstanding script choices outweigh the mehs. And if Gong Yoo’s also in it, that’s double the assurance of a good script for me. Show, come faster!!!

Loving the slice-of-life feels of the first episode. And as early as now, I find myself gravitating towards Park So Dam’s character.

Here we go with the FoS trademark game of being suspicious of every single character… also, I’m impatiently wanting to know where Hanjo fits in all of this. *sighs* Hang in there, weasel!

Ah concerning Chief Woo’s insider trading. It could possibly, noting how much this season has been incorporating tech and SNS aspects in the investigations keeping up with the times.

Show gave us the bromance scenes in episode 5 to make the ending scene in episode 6 sting much much much worse. Hang in there, our beloved weasel, we believe in you!!
