I was going through my old songs and I saw Writing Our Stories by SG Wannabe. I bawled. 😭

Also, I totally forgot about Dear February!! Gotta refresh myself on that.

Since I’m almost done reacting to Like Flowers in Sand on Patreon, I was going to watch Marry My Husband next. Looking at the reception here for the latest episode, I now am doubting that choice lol. Should I just go for Doctor Slump? I dont feel like a medical drama though. Are they doctors?

Dr Slump has two doctors as leads and their friends who are doctors. There are operations shown so it does not make sense to watch it knowing you don’t want to be seeing that. 90% of the show is about their life outside the operating room but they talk about work issues, legal case etc. the first couple of episodes have the most hospital based scenes.

Thanks! Is it interesting enough though? Like are you enjoying it?

It’s my kind of drama, I like rom coms and enemies to lovers and even though there is a stalker/mystery element I am not letting that steal my enjoyment.
Have you tried Queen of divorce? I am enjoying that one looking forward to episodes 3 today.

Thanks for the input! I really appreciate it.

No, I haven’t seen that one. I’ll check it out. Thank you!!

Just here to second this! To me it doesn’t feel like a traditional “medical drama” so far because both leads are not really practicing their profession by the end of the premiere week. Doubt ML will get back to being a doctor any time soon, but maybe FL will? I am enjoying Doctor Slump to absolute pieces, but I know some folks are worried about them filling 16 episodes. I’m pretty easy though. If I have Park Hyung-sik on my screen, I’m happy!

So far it is not a medical drama, it is more about former school mates (enemies) becoming friends and supporting each other at their low moments. There are parts I don’t like, but there are also parts I love (the leads together and dorky Yoon Park).

There is not much doctorish around Doctor Slump and I know we’re only on episode 4 but they are sooooooo cute we could all die of a sugar overdose 🤭

I could use some cutesy couple right now! It’s been a while!!

Nice to see you, Eazal~ I’ve been away for so long lol

If you’re choosing between the two then perhaps Doctor Slump is what the doctor ordered!! Better than getting married to someone else’s husband … then again I’m watching both. 😅

I have been so busy that it takes me like three days to watch 2 episodes of Captivating but omgggg it’s so good. I mean, it made me comeback to db just to talk to people about it!!

Right?! I it was so intense and so beautifully composed at the same time. I want to think he’s playing the long game, but the scene composition showing him with blood on half his face and clean on the other half makes me feel like he’s actually going to be going down a darker path for a while perhaps.

It’s really hard to be the king without having to get your hands dirty. It’s inevitable during that time. I’m excited to see how they’ll do it.

HOLY SH*T I SPIT MY DRINK WATCHING THAT SCENE FROM CAPTIVATING THE KING EPISODE 4!

Omg I can’t remember the last time I was genuinely shocked at what happened in a drama. Yo I did not see that coming

For me it was recently, also on an episode 4. I didn’t think that it would happen so soon, though. Very, very pleasantly suprised! It touched all the right notes for me.

Saaame though. I started this drama thinking “ok, this is cute.. it’s like a what if spin off surrounding the prince that returned from the Qing in My Dearest”

And then Mong woo turned themselves I and was almost tortured by the guy who wanted to marry her (RIP all his hopes and dreams). And then our ML decided he would ascend the throne and I have no idea what’s going on from there.

I wish I had a better idea of what was going on in his head. He seemed so genuine whenever he portrayed his loyalty to his brother. But he also IS a rather crafty person imo, and I don’t want to disregard what the two wispy bearded men said “he was just testing the waters/our loyalty”. The only thing that gives me hope is the interaction we didn’t get to see: what did he ask the court lady for help with? Speaking of which, poor court lady. She just seems so terrified that one of these men in power is going to force himself on her.

And then the betrayal!!! Once we got to the end of episode 4, I had successfully reset my expectations. This isn’t just a cute she falls in love with the prince drama. This is a REVENNNGE drama in which she falls in love and knows she shouldn’t. I’m so here for it, too. Glad they’re staying on theme with the baduk scenes.

A roller coaster of emotions indeed!

It took me a while to finish as I was watching during my work breaks lol but omg it was crazy. I felt her pain when he said he doesn’t need friends now that he’s King.

I also want to know what’s going on in his head. He seemed really genuine to me too even when he slashed the bad guy but he became questionable after that. Like he’s planned all of this before. At least like a backup plan if it’s not his plan all along. I felt betrayed too when he just let Hee-soo be taken and punished. I was with Hee-soo there.

It was sad to see him look more like his brother after three years though. He’s lost amd lonely. Not like his confident and assured self from before.

Right? It’s like my heart is in my throat the whole episode. Probably at it’s highest when he visited the night before and brought down the hammer the next day though.
