Beanie level: Errand boy

This one looks great – winter, countryside, food with Shin Min-na, Kim Hae-sook, Kang Ki-young and Huang Bo-ra.

Castaway Diva Ep 3 – never expect to cry in every episode but I did. What BIG HEART this drama has?!

And the scene of Park Eun-bin eating ramen is daeksang-worthy. Off to watch Ep 4 now.

The Kidnapping Day Ep 12 – a very satisfying ending! Have your tissue box ready.

Love the cameos of Kang Ha-Neul and Kim Young-min – but we can do without that epilogue.

That epilogue was terrifying! 😭 But I sure hope it makes Dr. Mo realize that what she thinks she wants from Dr. Choi’s research might not be what she wants for her child after all, yikes…

Hope she realises that and the bottom line is a happy child.

The Kidnapping Day Ep 11 – no dry eyes by the end of this episode. It’s inhumane to have to wait 7 days for the finale but our genius girl is to save the day.

I just broke my drama drought – finishing all 9 episodes of The Kidnapping Day in one go! So very good.

One theory – would Hye-eun be Dr Choi’s rumoured lover as we see her snake skin shed off?

MOVING Ep 14-15 Without exception, another two superb episodes with gasps and tears. By Ep 15, we are back to where Ep 7 left off. Drumrolls and all, the battle is about to start.

Rain must be chuffed now for picking up this charming boy.

MOVING Ep 10 & 11 – I thought Ep 8 & 9 would be a hard act to follow. Nope – it proves to be another mesmerizing arc and why Ryu Sheung-ryong is an Ace+ actor in Korea. To continue.

We had the two humanists in the last two episodes (when most would think they are also romancists) – but Ryu’s character, Jang Joy-won, is The Romancist!! Watching him falling in love is a sight to behold and I have shed tears several times in these two episodes.

Kwak Sun-young (Il-Sun from Hospital Playlist) delivered an impressive performance as his love interest and future mom of Hee-soo. Again, can’t wait to see how the story unfolds.

Last point: how Doo-shik and Joo-won met highlights both will become a problem/target of the agency chief. That was a lovely lovely scene, though.

The remaining question is how much more this series will soar to become a best drama.

MOVING Ep 8-9 What an understated yet utterly, utterly charming romance between Jo In-sung and Han Hyo-Joo. The two-part truncation makes sense now, and my rating is switching from like to love.

I love that their ‘courtship’ was a double (triple?) deception, and despite that, there was so much honesty, clarity and a lack of game-playing in how it actually evolved and grew between them.

Yes, the whole courtship might have played out as ‘planned’ but it’s the journey and clear-eyed (as you pointed out) that makes it so special.

The trailer of Cobweb looks great: https://youtu.be/7T92w7U5wAk

And seeing the cast doing rounds in Cannes (especially Oh Jung-se) is equally fun: https://youtu.be/Hmm3XKHyh14

19th Life Ending. I love it! I didn’t read the webtoon and could only judge the drama as it is. Linking the present back to the first life and then reversal to null is smart and makes sense.

Finished Ep 9 and 10 of SYIM19L. Happy ending please!

No motivation to watch KTL. I’m not dropping it but instead rewatching all the Celebrity FMVs of PGY and KMH – what a devastating romance!

I am not dropping KTL. I quite like the leads together now as they seem relaxed and more. Comfortable with each other. Their dating feels more natural
Other than that it’s a background watch while I do something else.

Ha ha. Celebrity – I got it bad for KMH! I watched so many clips. Didn’t realize he was so funny. I need him in a drama flexing his chaebol act.

See You In My 19th Life Ep 6 As mentioned by another Beanie (@mayhemf?), this drama has captured my heart and Seoul.

Should I watch the webtoon? The wait is killing me.

Dr Kim Ep 15 – Spectacular episode rich with character growth and kinship development that makes me sitting on the edge, close to tears while clapping hands at the same time. To continue.

It is chaotic but seeing how the dream team finally comes together is an awesome payoff. All the side plots are wonderful, making this a super rich episode. Lee Hong Nae continue to sparkle – the sequence from his losing the confidence to back on his feet to walk back to the patient room is award-worthy. Character growth is a hallmark of the Dr Kim series and S3 certainly doesn’t disappoint. Nurse Oh shows us once again in this episodes why’s she’s the ace queen. Love, love how the three disciples unite to become the perfect team. I’m sure Dr Yoon and Nurse Eun Tak will be back together.

And what can I say about Han Suk Kyu as Dr Kim??? He IS Dr Kim.

In a year sparse of watchable dramas, it makes me even more appreciative of the Dr Kim series – good old drama about PEOPLE.

Previously, we prayed to Drama God for this and that but now, one more ‘MUST’ item – on accessible stream platform.

So, thanks Drama God for having King The Land and See U 19th Life on Netflix!!

Family Ep 8 – The big reveal is finally here and interesting (which is not a Mr & Mrs Smith set up). Still on the fence though if I should pick it up again.

😇 <- this is my ‘come back and join me’ face!😁

Did you see the episode where Tae Goo was practically swallowed whole by the madness that is Yu Ra’s family? Kim Nam Hee nailed his “I’m ready to kill everyone here” and “I think I’m dying a slow painful death” expressions to perfection – which he somehow managed to convey simultaneously. Worth a watch.😁

What an inviting scene description! Kim Nam Hee is superb in whichever role he plays. The young actor playing his youth version is good too. That little smirk before he got shot is memorable.
