    Du-Shik’s been my special little favorite since episode one, so I just gently rolled my eyes and smiled when Soo-Ah got all freaked to see him.. 😂

      I know! I was actually rewatching Healer when I started watching Waikiki and I was just kind of really impressed by the actor who played the younger version Kim Moon-Sik (the “bad” brother) — he was such a layered character– in love with his best friends girl, grappling with whether to sacrifice his morality to get what he wanted. He did it all so well. I was blown away when I realized it was the very same Son Seung-Won I was watching as Du-Shik. The fact that he was playing Du-Shik sooo well to the point that I didn’t even recognize him just shows how good he is at being immersed in his role! (and my poor memory ha)

        OH MY- I completely forget about that! I have to go rewatch Healer ASAP!

        I have a soft spot for the actor because of his expressive eyes, and because I knew he was a musical theatre fellow, which. Instant brownie points. I want him in all the dramas, please!

          I’m finding that a lot of the actors who started out in theatre are REALLY talented. I don’t think it’s a coincidence.

            I think theatre’s really special, because it’s so completely raw. You have to perform in front of a live audience every night, and emote the same story. That has to take talent and commitment. If anything goes wrong, you just have to roll with it. Probably teaches a lot of skills.

    I really like the character and actor. He’s probably my favourite at the moment. Doesn’t hurt that he’s quite cute.

      😂 that was me explaining my love for Park Bo Gum.. Friend kept thinking it was because he’s cute, and. well, it really doesn’t hurt. But the boy’s just a super talented sweetheart, soooo…

        He is! I’m so reluctant to extoll his acting abilities because I know everyone I tell will just take one look at him and be like. “pffttt you just think he’s cute!!” like, I totally do! But he’s more than just a pretty face, and heartbreakingly charming smile, I swear!

          I don’t think the fact that I swooned when I saw his photo helped my case. 😂😂

            @Bam Gent I’m waiting for the right moment to introduce my sister to him in Moonlight. She’s got like two toddlers running around so I have to be SUPER STRATEGIC. I did the same thing to her with park hyung shik in strong woman do bong soon. Just sucked her right in, kids running around or no. teehehee

            Hope you get the timing right! It’s so hard with little kids (tho I love them to pieces)

            I have a little sister much younger than myself, and she’s seen Strong Woman Do Bong Soon…. Problem is, this little five-year-old didn’t just pick up the cute and the silly. She picked up the drunk scenes, and. copies them, as she cracks up. It’s adorable and also terrifying.

I just recently figured out we could even tag people on here! but yes, omg your little sister sounds like a hoot! it’s so funny how you can show them an entire episode and they out of EVERYTHING, the parts that stick are the parts that you’re like “omg what?, no, you’re wait to young for that” 😂

            I knowww! She was talking about murder the other day! She manages to get the worst from anything. We watch Disney movies or VeggieTales and she uses these lines out-of-context to sass us. So cute, and so exhausting. Why am I studying to become a Kindergarten teacher again? 😂

            And yeah, I think so! I realized about linking by scrolling through wayyy too many posts on the Beanie wall.. I finally noticed a pattern after a while.. 😂

    I loved this so much because in all the other dramas I’ve seen him in he’s played these dark or cool characters, and now to see him playing his squishy cinnamon roll dressed up as a bad boy put together everything that I love about him ~

    Also, I imagined Song Ji won from Age of Youth wolf whistling at him in that outfit hehe ^^

        Doo Shik would alternate between horror and fascination at Ji Won ~ I’m still holding out for Age of Youth cameos!!! (Besides ex boyfriend with stinky feet lol)

            There was a long conversation on DB in the first recap or the fan wall where it was confirmed that Sung Min is Doo Shik’s more successful and seemingly less sappy twin (though they are both hopeless romantics honestly, Sung Min just doesn’t admit to it)

            And Ji Won keeps mistaking Doo Shik for Sung Min, and Doo Shik ends up hiding from her despite wanting to join in her and Joon Ki’s ridiculous games (because Ji Won loves messing with him in ways Sung Min won’t let her)

            Yes. Not only would they get info on epic possible crossovers, but they could also get advice on what not to do in future dramas *cough* basically just don’t be Bride of Habaek *cough*

            They could get info in the most beloved actor pairings that should happen, and that they should ABSOLUTELY make Age Of Youth 3, and that they should start luring Park Bo Gum back to dramaland..

I know this show wasn’t perfect but it ended up sneaking into my Top 3 Kdrama. From start to finish I was invested in these two, their relationship and Bong Soon’s personal journey. ♥️
