I’m rooting for MINARI of course and Chloe Zhao’s NOMADLAND.
I couldn’t agree more with Variety on the best lead actress nomination.
Han Yeri should have been there.
Will win: Frances McDormand, “Nomadland”
Could win: Viola Davis, “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom”
Should win: Vanessa Kirby, “Pieces of a Woman”
Should have been here: Yeri Han, “Minari”
@kiara I’m also rooted for Nomadland and Frances McDormand (with Chloe Zhao and cinematographer Joshua James Richards) too. Another fellow Korean Youn Yuh-jung still rooted for me as supporting actress.
As for best actor and supporting actor, I knew that African-American actors (posthumous Chadwick Boseman and Daniel Kaluuya) will likely to win. So I rooted both.
I also rooted the categories for Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom aside from best actor: best costume designer and best makeup and hairstyling.
As for best orginal song, I bet for rooting Italian famous female singer Laura Pusini for the win.
