Drama recommandation : A couple’s world / The world of the married

(spoiler free, disclaimer I haven’t watched the original BBC serie)

So this is probably by far the most intense drama watching experience I’ve ever had
Literally had weak legs while watching some eps, needed to hug my pillow sometimes to compensate the world of the snakes I was seeing
Drama was bold and that was so refreshing (and caught my attention),
the first few eps were so packed , they could have been adapted into an usual (dragging) Kdrama 😅

I caught up to ep10 then live-watched it, decided to trust JTBC again , was feeling this could be another SKY castle and it was 🤩
Almost every episode was taxing on my energy and mind, drained all my energy, but that was the price to see how intertwined the world of the married was

Would also like to mention their OST choice : instrumental score over OST songs , which is rare in Kdramaland
OST songs were usually used for rolling credits, they were seldom used within the episodes themselves (maybe less than 10 times in the entire serie)
I really liked the choice and use of mostly instrumental bgm within the episodes in this drama

Side note : I’ve watched the BTS videos on JTBC YT channel and that helped a lot with such an intense drama ,
same goes for the rolling credits of last episode full of smiles from BTS ,
we needed to see all those smiles to leave The world of the married and come back with some hope to reality

(Despite being in sort of Kdrama slump for a long time now, this drama managed to catch my attention and made me live-watch it, and for that I’m really grateful 🙂 )

So did it remain good till the end? I really wanted to catch up since it was never on my radar and I missed it but I was also skeptical about the ending.

well with SKY castle some were pleased with the ending, others find it too happy for the drama, maybe A couple’s world enters the same category

for me this drama as a whole is a really strong one compared to what I’ve watched in dramaland (and I’m ok with its ending)
the drama was pretty intense every ep from ep1 to ep10, then pace slows down a bit after ep10 with major events from time to time.

try to stay away from spoilers for a better watch 🙂

Inusually avoid dramas like these bit the first ep caught my attention and the rest is history. My friends and I even started a group chat just to talk about this amazing drama. It’s that good. Acting, directing, and pacing are all great!

“the first ep caught my attention and the rest is history” exactly !
this is what dramas should do : entertain us , draw and immerse us into its world

I’m thankful to Beanies who talked about it on the wall , also soompi articles with ratings record compared to SKY castle ^^ , that put that drama in my radar ^^’
