Today, I was operated to take off the plate and the 4 screws that he had placed to hold my bone a little over a year ago. Everything went well!

Now, I need to be patient and wait for the wound to heal. I will take one week off, see later if it’s enough.

I’m free \o/

Hope it is a smooth healing process and not too painful that injury has taken a long time to be dealt with but hopefully you have been pain free in between the two pain inducing elements of the process.

Thank you! It’s already better. My arm is not too big because of the hematome, I can move it a little bit, the hand and the fingers too. I need to be cautions with the scar, not pull it but otherwise it’s pretty good.

So sorry you had to go through this last year and now. I am glad you are in the final stages of healing. Sending over a kdrama medicine box and a boy of your choice to care and blow over your wound.. Take care, rest and heal well!!

Don’t fall stupidly in your living room 😅

I didn’t know the elbow was one of the worst articulations to hurt, you loose completely your extension, bending and rotation. 8-9 months of physiotherapy and I still didn’t gain 100%.

      Thank you !

Ouch.. Even staying at home all day and watching dramas can cause accidents eh?
Sounds like a tough rehab. I can’t imagine. The things we take for granted. Hope it wasnt your dominant hand..

Glad it went well! I know it’s hard to be patient and wait for things to heal, so I hope you have some good books/dramas on tap to keep you occupied.

Ouch that sounds like a nasty fall. But you have been very brave. Get well soon … and take all the time you need NOW to ensure full recovery. Yay to freedom!! 🙌

Ouch! This sounds awfully gruelling and painful. I am glad you are on the mend. To not have the functions of an arm for so long must have been brutal. Sending healing hugs your ways.

So glad everything went well! I hope you have a soon recovery.
I’m guessing the doctor recommended a week of kdramas and chill (literally)?

    Take care! 💚

Actually, I didn’t meet the doctor. The anesthetists put me to sleep before he arrived. It’s the nurse who gave me the papers and told me I could leave. I was happy that I could leave the hospital and didn’t have to wait for him to be honest.

But it wasn’t a big operation, it was quite simple and there are no post-op indications from him, it’s more about the wound and it’s the nurse job.

      Thank you !

This sounds a great relief – all good from here!! I had two stupid and nasty falls in the past two years and my nose took it all on both occasions, leading my face look like the elephant man.

How are you feeling now. Hope you have recovered well. Did you have a follow-up examination.

Oh, it’s funny (and very kind of you) you ask because when I was watching the video of Europe Outside Your Tent, I thought we could see the hospital from the sky 😅

I’m feeling good. I started to work today after 1.5 week off. I went twice to hospital to change the dressing and I will go one last time Thursday to remove the rest of the sutures. I will see the doctor in May for the control after one month.

I’m Okay! My elbow is still stiff and bruised and I have to protect the scar. I see the doctor on the 29th May.

Thank you for your concern 😊

Waow! How did you remember? I did because it was in my agenda 😅

I’m good! The surgeon was happy with the result, I can move pretty well my arm. Now, I just need to wait for the scar to heal. We tend to forget that the inside part needs time to heal too, about 1 or 2 years.

      Thank you for caring ❤

So happy to hear that the surgeon is happy. That can only mean good things. Yes you still need to be very careful.

It is a strange coincidence how I remembered. May 10th and 29th are birthdays of two of my closest cousins. When you told me the dates it automatically got registered in my brain. 😂

Not to scare you but even decades later my shoulder still hurts when I’m extremely tired. Regular physiotherapy and exercise is how you make your arm strong. Take care and be well. 😍 💪🏼

They told me that I won’t be able to regain my whole mobility, the elbow joint is complex. But I did regain a lot. I will try to exercice to keep it like this.
