Beanie level: The Goblin’s underpants

Watching The Miracle We Met and feeling so guilty for shipping Hye Jin and Hyun Chul while his original family is suffering.

I haven’t followed this show lately. But oh the chemistry. Is anything happening between them?

    1

nothing much between them for now, but their feelings for each other are really growing and he admitted that he’s starting to feel something for her.

I really can’t understand some people complaining about Something in The Rain (Pretty Noona) being overly sweet and having too many kissing scenes (???), aren’t we watching a ROMANTIC drama? i mean, maybe the content might feel a bit mature for some people, but i would think the title is a dead giveaway of how the drama and the romance are going to be portrayed.

I mean, if that’s not your deal, just don’t watch it!

Honestly I find it to be a really nice change of pace from overly chaste dramas.

I stop watch it since episode 1. I found it’s not my drama. But I’m still salty about USD 8 that I’ve paid for Netflix subscription 😄
After watching My Ahjussi I become more upset with Pretty Noona, I just didn’t go anywhere and write my complain. I’m a middle age myself (35), I wonder why kdrama filmmakers can write a profound realistic drama about average middle age men, but they sell romance dream to middle age women.

Depending on your region, you could use your Netflix subscription to watch LIVE. It has the best part for a middle aged woman I’ve seen in a long time. V realistic and kick-ass.

Yes, there’s LIVE in my region. I’m planning to start it this week after reading many good reviews from beanies. Thanks!

There are some Beanies who aren’t into dramas that depict too much of the sexy. They prefer the chaste stuff in your typical k-drama as opposed to the hyper-sexualization in Western dramas. Some have cited that as a reason for moving away from Western dramas and gravitating towards K-Dramas–but that’s a discussion for another day. I personally love it–once it’s not gratuitous that is. It adds to the tone and setting of the drama. I actually kinda wish this drama had better kiss scenes though. But then again, I was recently blown away/spoiled, so very little can compare now.

Just finished Laughter in Waikiki, lovely ending but i’m still rooting for a second season, i think this drama have a sitcom vibe so i can see this go on forever…

God bless the person who is translating Children of a Lesser God, the subs aren’t perfect (they’re translating from Indonesian language) BUT they are pretty much the only one releasing right now and they’re super fast.

I’m just very happy.

Why does d girl hv so much of hair

Our Chewbacca girl have more hair than most, but she usually shaves, in this episode she let it grow to annoy her brother until he accepts her relationship with the guy pictured (there is more to the story but it’s hard to explain lol).

lol i sound super spoiled when it comes to dramas “i want my drama NOW” xD i’m not like that usually, i swear.

I’m not like that either (especially since I rarely livewatch–though that has changed recently) but I think we’ve all been waiting for this one for so long and with such anticipation that the weird thing would be to not be frustrated!

Aww… it sucks. It’ll be even more unlikely that DB would pick that drama up as the next one they’ll recap then. Slow subs means vastly different watching time for beanies and usually also delayed discussion. Huhu…

If DB recap this i’ll watch it raw, but it’s unlikely 🙁

Yeah…they stopped with Smart Prison Living recaps because of that, if I remember correctly

I got lazy with subtitles being so easily available, i should’ve been learning Korean instead, out of 12 years watching Kdramas i’m sure i would have grasped the language by now (i think lol).

It’s a pity that the drama i’m interested the most right now (Children of a Lesser God) isn’t getting much attention, even their soompi page seems dead 🙁

I think because there are no subs? But I saw today that ep 4 has been subbed. But it kind of takes away the continuity if you watch another ep after a long gap?

i couldn’t understand much of that sub from episode 4, seemed like it was translated from google translate, but it was better than nothing and at least i could figure it out what was going on.

Since they subbed 3 episodes fairly quickly, they will catch upto the rest of the episodes soon? fingers crossed. no pressure to them. I’m just glad they’re doing it.

It’s true, i’m glad at least there is something available for us.

I think it is still good drama after all, worth 16 hours of watching. It is the process, not the finale 😛 #Twisty

    1

lol. why would you do this to yourself?
(I tend to read spoilers too and ouf! tough…)

I know right? the funny thing it’s that I stopped watching this drama right after episode 3 lol, I plan to continue later on but i guess knowing the finale really made me lose a bit of interest.

I’ve got to watch many dramas just as great as this one, but no one can beat My Name Is Kim Sam Soon in my heart, maybe because it was the first Korean drama I’ve watched (back in 2006) but still, everything was so unforgettable to me, these characters, the soundtrack (Clazziquai Project <3), everything was perfect.

Also my nickname on the internet "lenrasoon" comes from my real name + soon (from kim sam soon) = lenrasoon, hahaha i’m silly.

This is my favorite drama of all time! Nothing has beaten this one yet. It’s funny, but poignant. Sam-soon was such a great heroine. She was strong, but sensitive and is definitely not perfect, but not annoying. Kim Sun Ah plays her with such aplomb. I don’t know if anything will ever beat this! Oh I love it so!

What made Kim Sam Soon great, apart from the amazing writing, was the actors. Kim Sun Ah was so incredible as Sam Soon, that was hard for me to watch her doing other characters for a while lol, i related so much to Sam Soon even though at the time i was much younger, i can imagine now relating even more than before. Also Hyun Bin was amazing as Sam Shik, i have a soft spot for him since then.

Hear hear! Still on my top 10 K-dramas.
Hopefully “Pretty Noona” would add more romance to my list.

Hahaha i’m excited for Pretty Noona. God knows i need a good drama to watch since i’m pretty much dropping almost everything these days.
