The premise is good but it’s a dark theme so when it tries to become cute it’s ridiculous. This guy is incredibly smart, he has great grades and manages a prostitution scheme but when he is around his love interest he becomes so shy he can’t open a cafe door. He doesn’t know how to pay for his coffee or give her an excuse before running away.
Oh, I loved the juxtaposition there that the pimp could sell women from the shadows with a fake name and voice but the teenage boy was incredibly awkward with a girl in person. I thought that was believable.
If he had just been awkward yes, it would have been amusing but it wasn’t just that. He lived a double life and had to lie a lot for more than a year, his job included exploring teenage girls and controlling an adult, it wasn’t enough to be intelligent he had also to be street smart to do it, which he proved when he called the police. However when he talks to the teacher and that girl he isn’t just awkward, he is docile, almost passive, and clueluess, it has no logic.
