Beanie level: Wrongly accused fugitive

Appearing after a year! I’ve started Sparkling Watermelon and was sold in the first 2 mins! Tho the 10-min mark got me coming up with a theory as to why Dad would save Eungyeol (where I was right 😂) and by mid-mark, I was holding back tears. Dropping by to say, I’m seeing theories that Seol In-Ah is another time traveller and there’s this scene in ep 2 (barely started) that raised my eyebrows… aren’t we focusing too much of this girl in the foreground? We have like two shots of her! Is she Seol In-Ah? I think she is and hence I’m parking this theory here and will come back to see if I’m right 😂

      That’s what someone on MDL said! After reading that, I can’t help but notice the woman in the foreground while Eungyeol played the guitar at Hongdae. And that woman looks so much like In-Ah from the back!

Aaaaand it’s a wrap for Today’s Webtoon! The last few eps (except 15 and 16) definitely slowed down. While I don’t really like the direction of some plots of this show, but I really enjoyed seeing the stories of the webtoon writers and the behind the scene in making a webtoon. I think out of all the writers featured in the show, I loved Na Gang Nam’s storyline the best! And how he and his wife basically accepted Maeum as their adopted sister or something.

I did not any gifs while watching, except for this scene that cracked me up while I watched ep 16 on my laptop…

That being said… Bluray is confirmed!!!!!!! I am excited!!!! It’s my first bluray ever in my kdrama career! Would have gotten one for Happiness but that didn’t go through hence I am even more excited for ABP’s!

    Thanks for the ABP trip down memory lane one of the few rom coms to stay it’s lane and not forget why people love this genre.

    I am a newbie to Dramabeans only joined last month so only beginning to learn the tricks of the trade. Someone has just told me how to escape the 200 character limit on fan walls and now I have seen the pictures with comments I would love to know how to do that. Anyways, I am so sad that ABP is ending in a couple of hours!

I really loved this hand-holding scene at the start of ep 11!

Not to mention the last 2 mins of ep 11! I totally wasn’t expecting that!

I read the webtoon and saw the scale, but I dismissed that the drama will recreate because, drama. But it was a nice surprise to see THAT scale! The whole scene felt slow and romantic, a discovery between a couple. But at the same time, as a viewer, it felt TOO SLOW

I have more gifs from that scene, but for our sanity here, I guess I will keep them aside for now.

I won’t be pinning that last ep will show us more, I am guessing probably the morning after, but one can have a little hope right?

It’s a whacky romcom, same genre as ABP, but the tone of the drama is vastly different. It’s heavier, slightly more dark comedy and most importantly, extremely tropey and entertaining!

Not happy with your boss? Give him a resignation slap

Or throw him an onion

Hate him with your life? Stuff him with onions

And more onions

Maybe not too much or else he will start convulsing…

    The issue I have with Crazy Love is none of the characters are likeable, including the two leads. I was about to drop but Ep 6 does the turnaround for me (and it could be a bit late for those who’d try a max of 3-4 episodes). Now, I look forward to it becoming more likeable and bringing us on board.

    Having said that, both KJW and Crystal are doing a good job though.

      Yeah I agree. Ep 6 is my favourite one so far. One of my early criticism of ML is his mean-ness despite coming from poor and built his career. It was weird to me how he’s so cocky and mean…

Oh my! It has been 3 months since Happiness ended! 🥺 I guess I’m still in that hole 😛 So here’s an honorary Happiness gif before I move on…

Anyways… since December, I think I’ve completed Moonshine and Our Beloved Summer. I enjoyed both dramas, especially the architecture for OBS. Those buildings outside Woong’s house is *chef kiss*.

I’m currently enjoying 2521, A Business Proposal and Crazy Love, but there’s only so much gifs I can make…

Like how Kim Taeri is nailing Heedo…

Or how Yijin is shook at how Heedo and Yurim’s friendship progressed…

And then you have ABP and Crazy Love which has sooooo much fun with the tropes that we are sooooo used to, they are basically my highlight of the week!

Ah… so…. I can’t bear to say goodbye to waiting till 3am for a new episode to watch. 😭 I’ve came so far from collecting little bits and pieces of crumbs to actually getting a baguette and a garlic bread in ep 12 😭😭

I was sold right from day 1 when we say Saebom asking if Yihyun wanted to live with her for the apartment. That was my very first crumb…

But other than that, what I really liked about this drama was how it made appropriate use of the music. There were lots of instances when I was holding my breath before sighing a relief one. The characters in this show hits too close to home, especially these days. When I watch dramas, I like that they don’t remind me of reality. But I guess Happiness is an exception with our OTP on screen 🥺

I really loved their dynamics. How they always worked together to catch the infected or defend themselves against their ugly neighbours. No doubt Hyun is always the one saving the day, but he’s doing so because he loves Bom and not because she can’t do the saving herself. Hence I really liked that we see Bom saving Hyun once again is the last episode. But even if he does the first move in the saving, we always know that Bom will be there for him, as his partner-in-crime and his bff.

I wonder how am I going to move on from today on 🥺😭 this is probably the best bff turned lovers drama I’ve seen recently. Therefore, I’m sharing my baguette and my garlic bread 😭😭😭😭

Just… let me… recover from this… I think I might take months to do so…

I finished MRIAG a couple of weeks ago, and I am still not out! I really loved what the drama gave us! Not the in-your-face-romance between a “godly” being and a human (looking at you DAYS), but a bit more explanation Woo Yeo and he being a gumiho acts and thinks different from a human. That is why and how I made sense of the romance. He is essentially a fox (or pox), and it’s much like how they find a mate, he is attracted to Lee Dam. I absolutely loved Kang Hanna in this! Hyesun is dumb and stupid but not the annoying type and it’s such a fun watch! Her portrayal makes her character comes to life and not being annoyingly stupid. Overall, I really enjoyed this drama, I should have made more gifs, but just posting what I have for now.
