Rambling of the Day: Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency
The king’s motivation upon being handed the throne is wrong on the get go. I won’t blame GT because what I got from her from the beginning is that, like she said, he is like a brother to her. At the time of his proposal, he provided her the excuse to not live on her own, sharing her burden by herself. She has no better option plus she has not seen herself as a girl who a guy might desire. And Kim Soo has his own baggage too from the moment he was taken till now for keeping his big secret. He is just selfish. In which he fails or chooses to ignore. She will be dead very soon once her identity is exposed. Anything related to a king is an easy excuse for punishment, harsh or not. That is a fact or, must I say, the norms in a sageuk. Kim Soo doesn’t even bother to think about the consequences of his actions, of how these will be used against him, who has yet to gain his power in court. I can’t help but comparing this with Jumong. That one drama potrayed a much more worthy king who is able to let go of his first love for the sake of his country. As I have expected Kim Soo’s one and only motivation to learn and think and strategize as a king thus far is just to bring GT into the palace, preparing what he thought would be a safe haven for her. Nope, it’s not going to happen. If she has any conscience, she will never go to palace for him instead she will leave as that is the biggest sacrifice she can ever make to ensure he will become a sage king, with no one to be used against him to control him e.g. queen of seven days, Jumong’s first queen. We are not talking normal people here, so what viewers expect of common people love story won’t happen. This is about a king, his one-sided love and a nation that he is responsible with managing. Really by now he should have known how to prioritise. He is just a lame character to me, given the time he has been studying and gathering precious information about the corruptions in the palace. No sympathy from me. Nope.
I have postpone my exam yet again…Ahhh the freedom to decide when to sit for the exams is just awesome!

OMS really is so versatile and witty on stage… at one time he was catching his breathe due to the fast changing of attire, he made it the next character’s own plight e.g. the old earl has a weak heart. It was so funny because we knew he just came back from the speedy changes backstage. 😅
i saw oh man seok singing a snippet of song from this musical in Life Bar and he was awesome.. and my bae YYS! <3<3 even tho i know i won't understand a thing even if i watch it i'm still so jealous lol
Let’s catch his next musical in the future. I don’t have that much problem understanding since most dialogues are the common korean words and I have read the full english script online. The whole ensemble were awesome. For the ladies, my heart belongs to Phoebe. She’s the epitome of elegance, understanding, and intelligence. Plus her fav color is Blue! YYS musical singing voice is awesome as well. Everyone in it are totally worth the time spent.
Sprinting Lovely, Horribly – love the confident in Ji Hyo for planning to use her \’looks\’ as alternative to persuade Philip. I love to write… hence I can feel her attachment to her babies. *loves*
Lovely Horribly Ep. 1: SJH – Creepy in a daebak way. Poor soul lost her fate to such man! PSH – Amateurish. Was better in his old works e.g. Family Honor, Prosecutor Princess. Will watch for SJH alone

Another Yang Hwa and Dong Mae shipper!!! I said the same thing. The chemistry between them is electric. They are a power couple. She’s the boss, he’s the muscle. All they have to do is kill her father and nothing would be in their way.
As much as I want them to end up together, I will remain realistic for the time being as I hold on to what YYS said that their relationship is a special one as they are an old friend. I hope that this long-term friendship can turn into a lifetime companion. KES, make that happens, please!

I had a discussion on this with other friend and she raised about the sub being a little off e.g. whether it is EC or the guy in a long coat i.e. AS both were referring to. So I went to listen to that conversation again. Came to a conclusion that DM is baiting for confirmation on AS but EC refused to give him an answer. Then he said about them having different info. could mean that each assumed/realised it was AS disguising in that coat but at different locations.
I had a different idea of what would happen on the 15th. 😅DM will be betrayed by the Japanese. The meeting place will be ambushed, he will ask AS to leave and fight for his survival. AS watches everything from afar and it changes her perception on DM…hehehe I really need to watch those snippets when he wields his sword. Looking forward to those actions
My wandering thoughts and rambles on Mr. Sunshine ep. 9:
She said she trusted him but she also said next time she would be the one to open fire. Does she mean that because she saved him once thus she believed that he would return the favor, at least once? Is that the trust that she was referring to? Does that mean she only regarded his feeling as gratitude since the next they meet, she promise to kill him without any thought, hypothetically speaking? Does she think that his gratitude is what keeping her alive? Is that the kind of trust she is giving him? What is the point of trusting knowing he will never kill you but you are going to kill him thus? What is her reason for such trust? I am really gonna end up pulling my hair for such number of inconsistencies I am seeing in a leading character that I am hoping to relate to. She is badass and all just how I love it but having these kind of inconsistencies in between is making me roll my eyes. K, done with my ramblings. Moving on…
Thank you Tim for enlightening me with that trust issue I was questioning myself earlier. I agree with everything you said. The thing is, why would she have to kill him just for seeing her in that disguise? Because he accepted jobs mainly from the Japanese, hence a traitor to her eyes? Why trust him even as little as that? I prefer that she just expected him to act as he did due to that one favor and not trusting him at all. I hope that this will be the point for AS to reflect based on EC’s question whether the world that she is protecting will accommodate all classes, slave and baekjeong included. Since he specifically mentioned baekjeong I hope she can relate it back to DM. I know it may be a bit farfetched, but I am hoping she can learn to understand the suffering of these lower classes before making any judgment/come up with any conclusion, that at the end of the day those who resorted to the kind of lives that they live may have done so due to the circumstances of their pasts. I really want her to see that and embrace the pain of others outside her class, else she will never understand because being in her position will not give her such understanding unless she makes an effort for it. And something else caught my attention as well Tim. The recent statement from the guy caught by DM displayed animosity towards all foreign countries that are trying to get bits of Joseon. The righteous army are supposed to fight against all foreign powers currently in Joseon but why am I seeing thus far, American can be befriended, obviously because we have EC there, but the rest not so much? I decided to shelve Mr. Sunshine. It is getting too slow, the righteous army plots that is. Seems to me writer nim is more concern in developing the love story than the context of what happened then.
I agree with you. I dropped it after 3 episodes. I also found the plot too slow, especially lasting for 24 episodes. And I HATE love triangles, here it’s about love pentagon. Too much time will be devoted to the characters pining for their love.
True… it seems that is how it is going for now… and for all three to fight for joseon mainly because of their love for AS is just, weak? I would want to fight for my country because of my own conscience and not because it is inspired by the person I happened to have feelings for. E.g. My life in country may not be all colourful but because it is my country, I may decide to protect it in my own accord. Much more satisfying even if I die in the end.
Even I am not sure AS understands what is she fighting for. Justice and fairness to all Joseon people regardless of class or just freedom for Joseon while at the same time maintaining the divide of classes. I am still having problems relating to the plot/characters and the inconsistencies don’t help either, though the actings are great by all actors n actresses.

I kinda get this feeling that scene is gonna be cut to either an entrance from the maid or from the shop owner himself or perhaps, Eugene stopping by? ㅎㅎㅎ my imagination.
Did you see her tears? She had it as well after he wiped his blood at her skirt. What kind of emotion she was feeling, I wonder? It does seems like she fears him a bit. Does she pity him? But why the tears?

True @tacourtn … I got the dialogue somewhere but I am curious of when did he really said them, was it to just himself or to AS?
I kinda get this feeling that scene is gonna be cut to either an entrance from the maid or from the shop owner himself or perhaps, Eugene stopping by? ㅎㅎㅎ my imagination.
Did you see her tears? She had it as well after he wiped his blood at her skirt. What kind of emotion she was feeling, I wonder? It does seems like she fears him a bit. Does she pity him? But why the tears?
