There are actually 2 things I wanna update with you: the first semester ended a month ago, and the grades were out yesterday, all of which were more than I expected! (So I should pass the minimal grade requirement to be able to continue this degree.) Another thing is that next semester, I’ll need to study more and take an exam named something like the Qualifying Exam. Many people said it was very difficult, so I’m a bit scared now. And all of them said I should just study in my next semester, so I just informed the uni that I won’t teach next semester. I miss my students and prospective students, but I guess the study will take most of my time and it will be too much for me doing both things during that time.
