Beanie level: Entertainer-in-training

When I was a kid, love meant Shahrukh Khan.
He personified ROMANCE and now as an adult, I believe that he (and his movies) ruined my life by making me believe in an unreal idea of love which doesn’t really exist in this world.

Still, I love him. I love him for the nostalgia he gives me, for his past movies, for the witty brilliant man that he is off- screen, for his perseverance against all odds, for him being the last of the superstars of Bollywood.

His latest movie has become a blockbuster back home. And you know why? Because some right- wingers wanted to ban it & started a petition to block the movie from getting successful. The result? A tremendous outpouring of love & support for SRK, against the ruling right- wingers. This feels like a personal victory even though I am not even in the country & not gonna earn anything from the financial success of rich people lol. Cuz this feels like love won over hatred.

Goes to show how much this man meant for a whole generation. A man who is LOVE itself.

      Lol the excuse was so stupid that I don’t even remember it clearly. But it was something about Deepika wearing an orange bikini/swimsuit while dancing sexily to “besharam rang” song which literally translated means “shameless colour” and orange is THE colour of Hinduism. So they basically tried to say that this movie is saying that Hindus are shameless 😂😂

An era gone by.
A habit almost forgotten.
A love half- remembered.

Dramabeans taught me how to love dramas along with a community. DB also helped me find & enjoy my other faves & form lifelong friendships.

But then DB made me super analyse every drama and at times ruin the dramas for myself. It made me almost hate one of my favourite hobby- watching dramas. I stayed away, I lurked. I lurked & still stayed away.

Yet, DB is still a part of me as much as I am a part of the history of DB. I spent major moments of my life here and I will keep coming back to stay in touch with that era of me. The era when I became MUCHIE- my online fangirl self.

    I always tun away when I see someone talking about Flower Boy Next Door, Black or Gu Family Book, because I know most beanies don’t like those shows.

      Hahaha I have done that so often because I don’t always need everything in a show to be perfect for me to love it! There are a lot of factors that just make me enjoy the show for itself with all its faults.

    I was like that once, too. Without knowing, I became a very critical analyzer, and the love I had for dramas vanished.

    Then I realized life wasn’t all or nothing. I tried not to engage in convos that I didnt really agree with, and tried to say what I wanted to say and how I really felt. Being snarky was fun, but I realized I didn’t need to try to be someone i was not.

    I love the critique part of this community as well as the more light-hearted and fun part. Im learning to say I enjoy something, again, without having to justify it.

      That’s nice and I wish I get there. But, for now, when I like something and others find million reasons to pull it down- I get a little sad & just close the website. I would love to be at a stage where I can go on just loving what I love without caring about what others say about it.

WINNER ILOVEU M/V had a QR code which gave info abt a guerrilla concert… With an announcement just 5 days before, WINNER managed to collect an audience of 20k people n performed for close to an hour for free!!

Also, Lee Seunghoon peronally alos invited random strangers on the road to come to the guerrilla con hehe… Here is the video he posted from when he was inviting ppl and you can hear the members laughing at him.
