I’m at a friend’s who’s at work – she has Amazon Prime and I saw Flower Boy Next Door is up. Rewatching ep1 reminds me why I love this drama so much. But where are our Flower Boys today?

    Two weeks ago I watched the movie “A Birth”, starred by Yoon Shi Yoon, in a movie theater 🤩 I never thought that movie would be released in Spain. Unfortunately, it was dubbed in Spanish but at least I listened YSY’s sweet voice when he spoke in Latin and French.
    I still can’t believe I have watched my Korean love in the big screen.

    Kim Ji Hoon has just appeared in the drama Death’s Game. I watched the whole show last week. He was in Money Heist Korea too.

    Go Kyung Pio has been in some dramas but I have not watched any of them. The last one was Love in Contract, if I am not mistaken.

    I also love the FL way of talking – she loves to use a particular grammar pattern when she talks to the male lead, and I just think it adds so much to her character. Just a subtle detail but super fun.

      This is a very nice touch in the construct of the FL character who is so into acting, Her brain is attuned to analysing characters and how she responds in the situation. And Jeon Jong-seo is acing it.

      I totally agree with that. In fact, I thought there would be some compelling reason in the story why he chose that time to do so, but they really wasn’t. So yeah, that’s a little bit much to take in at her own mother’s memorial service…

    Do you squeeze the water from the spinach like most Koreans do? I hardly taste the bitterness when mixed with gochujang.

      The fresh spinach cooks down in the soy sauce, water, and garlic I steam it in before adding it to the rice, so the liquid goes into the rice. I use fresh baby spinach that is usually not bitter.

    Whenever you make and take pics of your bibimbab, I really wish I was there with you and you would give me part of it to eat. There are so many things to prepare!

      I do post it when I’m eating it with dramas. It is a lot of steps but I’m usually in the mood for it so I don’t mind. and I wish I could share it with you and watch a drama together !

    Friday update: completed deadline 1! Last night I snuck in 2 eps of Crash Landing on You with my brother, and this morning (after hitting the send button on a job), I watched this week’s Radio Star. I can’t go cold turkey until Feb 22, I just can’t! Feeling better, now, with a little Kdrama relief. But now, back to the grindstone on deadline 2. I’ll be back!

    Happy OT Friday, beanies. It is especially happy for me as I made my deadlines yesterday, and then fell into a K-drama catch-up coma . Here’s what I watched in the last 24 hours: I Am Solo season 19, Radio Star ep 855, My Little Old Boy ep 382, Between Him and Her 8, 9, King of Mask ep 439, Dr. Slump ep 8, Queen of Divorce ep 8. Now I am making bibbimbap for dinner and plan on settling in for more catching up. Ahhh, nothing like a personal drama reward weekend after a stressful crunch couple of weeks!

      Dwfinitely. So far the vacationers from Albania played Red Light Green Light with our Korean hosts because they knew it from Squid Game. It could be fun and good editing helps so we’ll see. This type of show is fun because, unlike K-dramas where I have to keep on top of subtitles, I can do other small things as I watch.

    I am so looking forward to week two. I am hoping the body count doesn’t go up but instead the fun goes up a notch. This show is the highlight of my week so hopping it continues to be as my week days are empty apart from this.
