What in the world is up with poison as the weapon of choice I’m Mad For Each Other, I mean, first the dog and then Min Kyung . . .

Thoughts on Sung Rok and Eun Wood’s last ep: I braced myself for the departure of Sung Rok and Eun Woo on Master in the House with a generous slice of two-layer chocolate cake. What I got was a mini history lesson of the censorship in the 70s in S Korea from the perspective of master Lee Jang Hee. He was thrown in prison for the lyrics he wrote and sang as S Korea’s first folk songwriter/ Singer. Ask A Korean (well-known blogger) created an amazing and insightful list of the 100 most influential singers , and I can’t wait to check out his reference to Lee Jang Hee. Lee also mentioned there was a huge marijuana scandal back then which landed lots of people in prison, trying to silence the influence of and era in the midst of change. It was really fascinating to listen to his story and some comments from peers back in the day.
It was a nostalgic setting filled with true friendship through tumultuous times that made saying farewell to Sung Rok and Eun Woo so moving. I loved them both on the show. Not being much of a water person, I thought those rubber canoes looked scary on the waves. The cranberry, cinnamon, and walnut bread made by Master Lee looked simply delish! It was heartwarming to see them so happy as they sat around and talked on the deck. Making memories. Letters. The time capsule. Promising not to cry, but shedding a tear all the same. “Awesome Cha Eun Woo” – I think you’ve matured and are more three-dimensional because of MitH. See you in 21 years on Ulleung Island ❤️
P.S. I can totally see Bakgoon on MotH, he is the variety shows’ popular sweetheart these days. Was that a preview hint?

Another nod to Reply 1994 when the cop friends in Mad for Each Other (ep 11) call Hwi Oh trash 😂

I guess the laws/norms have relaxed in Korea? It’s so weird to see people on tv with smokes.

Do they actually use it? I think it has always been allowed as long as they didn’t actually put it in their mouth… I have seen lots of shows using scene cuts and indirect shots to show someone smoking while not really smoking…

Definitely more visible these few months. N in Move to Heaven, if i remember it right, LJH really did smoke it.

In Nevertheless, it actually gets lighted, and she coughs.

Boys Mental Camp season 2 NCTDream is really fun to watch! So far, 10 eps are up with 2 more to come. Personality evaluations by psychologists and Defconn is a charming host. Variety recommend.

I’m so happy watching Hospital Playlist 2 tonight. Best stellar cast ever! I wish it was a 100+ ep weekend drama, or better yet, like General Hospital – it’s been on for 55 yrs (I looked it up)!

Wah! 💦 This is a one-episode-a-week drama! I just remembered that!

It really felt like reuniting with old friends, and we just comfortably picked up right where we left off last year.

At A Distance, Spring Is Green (eps 1&2 ) is incredibly depressing.

Mad for Each Other ep 8&9 That laugh in front of Mother, who doesn’t think a thing of it. And the siren sounds, most pitiful sounds coming from Min Kyung. Oh, how they can relate to each other!

This drama is freaking delightful. I laugh, I rage, I grin ear-to-ear. Somehow they are also so relatable, and that Women’s Association is a hoot.

I am thrilled to see Tang Joon-sang as Hae-Lang in Racquet Boys. He 100% won me over as a fan in Move to Heaven as Geu-ru. I think he is an amazing young actor, born in 2003. I’m looking forward to t

He has so much potential, playing well in all three entirely different roles in CLOY, Move to Heaven and now Racket Boys.

Weekly episode 242 of My Little Old Boy with Bakgoon visiting his hometown is so moving – if possible, it is even more of a tear jerker than Move to Heaven ep 10!

I never should have put my prescription eye drops in before watching ep 10 of Move to Heaven! I cried my eyes out (washing away those drops). Geur-ru’s story comes full circle. I love this drama!

I keep on going back and forth over which story I like the most from this show. It’s hard because they’re all so good. Right now, it’s a tentative tie between the story about the mechanic kid from episode 1, the story about the gay cellist, and the story about Sang-gu and Jeong-woo’s childhood.

    5

Yes mine is a tie between the cellist and the grandfather who died along with his wife. Maybe another will become a favourite after I remember something.

The cellist was the first episode where I sobbed. In fairness, it probably wasn’t just this story — probably an accretion of feelings over all of the previous episodes that reached a critical mass — but I just cried and cried during that episode.

I held on well relatively until ep 9. But eventually I was sobbing in the final episode. There are only a handful of shows where I ugly cried. Such a beautiful series.

I was trying to think if there was a show where I cried so hard; it’s been a long while.

The hardest I ever cried ever was The light in your eyes. The last 2 episodes were a complete cry fest and the reason I loved the series. I tear up even now just thinking about it.

Remember 2014 Promise 2021 is a documentary 7 years after the sinking of the Sewol. 35 students were rescued; several tell their stories. I wish them healing and peace as they remember those who died.
