Hahaha he was still oblivious to his feeling:
GDC Chapter 11: “Wei WuXian was definitely not stunned and unable to avert his gaze because he was looking at a bathing beauty!! No matter how beautiful he was, he wouldn’t actually be ‘attracted to men’!! Really, it was the things on the person’s back that made him unable to avert his gaze. There were dozens of intersecting scars.”
C’mon…. The same branding scar that Lan Zhan inflicted onto himself (T……….T) would have done SOMETHING to Wei Ying’s heart, would it not????
….Obviously, I STILL have not read the novel and have only managed to complete 1 page of the manhwa because I don’t want it to end!!!!!!! I feel like if I complete everything– the drama, the donghua, the manga, the novel– then it will REALLY be time for me to say goodbye, BUT I DON’T WANT TO OMG OMG OMG
*goes to corner to pout and cry like a child…. particularly a 3-year old child* 😏
Hahaha… I finished everything twice or thrice but I still can’t say goodbye… I know this is not really healthy… but I CANNOT move on!! This is not helping that both Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo are doing an performance almost every single day…
Here’s how I let go: certainly not “cold turkey”. I’ve been able to start watching other dramas, but also get my daily dose of Untamed medicine, by watching – not favorite scenes or from beginning to end – but a story arc, like right now it’s funny because I watched the same scenes today and then saw this post!
@linda-palapala
I’ve been doing the same…. Moved and finished 1 whole other drama and started another one 2 days ago, but have returned back to “The Untamed” from time to time to watch random episodes 🙂
I don’t know… Kdramas are so generous to show abs and more, not sure why the Untamed PD was so stingy… Now I feel like such a pervert watching the special edition to find the censored scenes
😂😂😂
Haha if that makes you a pervert @persianrose, I don’t know what to appropriately call myself who read the extra chapters of MDZS before starting the novel……heh….
I like you’re confession @kimbapnoona … It makes me feel better!! Xiao Zhan recently won an award of “Heartthrob Actor”… It really made me feel less guilty that everyone confirms that he excites immature romantic feelings in most of women, we’re not alone 😳😳😳
I— I also admit to reading the extra chapters first /runs away/
/comes back for brief explanation/
In my defense, it’s because I was lured by a youtube comment pertaining to said chapters. I.HAD.TO.KNOW.WHAT.HAPPENED.
Okay, I wasn’t planning on watching the Untamed special edition…
Are there more like this??
Funny you should post today – I’ve just been watching ep 34 and the piggyback ride.
And I was just reading an article that mentioned one thing I didn’t know. When they did their bows in the Ancestor Hall, only married couples do that together (or something like that). I hadn’t realized…
Yup!! The drama toned it down and made it seem like Wei Ying was just bringing a close friend–his confidant– to pay respects to the ancestors, but we know that it actually has a double meaning to it :))))
I had previously heard the bows were the 3 bows in the marriage ceremony. But this latest post said the fact both of them were together in going into the Ancestor Hall and bowing together was something only married couples did together. So I was a bit surprised.
The other things they mentioned I already knew about: significance of the headband; what the rabbits signified and the chickens.
In Buddhist tradition, three bows are given during the paying of respects (just like this scene, but we know that it’s actually hinting at a marriage ceremony… dang censorship) and offerings– it’s just a part of the tradition, with or without a friend/partner/spouse, there’s just different variations of it:
Simply bow 3 times, bowing 3 times with incense in hand then offering said incense to the deceased, bowing 3 times on all 4s (2 hands & on your knees), bowing 3 times on all 4s with palms of hands lifted up or faced down (differs in time period…)
If it were a full on marriage ceremony, the 3 bows is sliiiiiiightly different:
Bow #1: Facing outward and bowing to the heavens
Bow #2: Facing family (most of the time, it’s the parents of the couple who are seated)
Bow #3: Facing each other
Ya, what they did aren’t marriage bows. The bows they do in the drama is typical to show respect to someone. Nothing special or hidden in what they did that shows marriage.
