Seriously, The Untamed ruined my expectation of Drama Visuals forever… Since I watched The Untamed everything (and everyone #sorrynotsorry) looks so dull…

I can’t help you with any recommendations because I need help myself! 😛 But yes, the visuals are so beautiful! My favorite visual has to be Young Wei Ying in white robes – so innocent, so cute~

(but maybe give Diary of a Prosecutor a try? it’s the opposite of what I associated with the Untamed, but I’m enjoying watching the characters immensely!)

Kdrama “My Holo Love” was able to keep my interest and attention (a large part, because of the low episode count, just 12 episodes), and Cdrama “Fairyland Lovers” was good—but not amazing or brilliant lol—(but this one, you really need to give it a chance to get to the end of Episode 1 before it gets interesting) ☺️☺️
I know a few Cdrama/TWdrama watching Beanies have recently started or finished watching TW dramas “Yong Jiu’s Grocery Store” & “Some Day or One Day” and really loved it 😊 Some highly recommended them

Right now Itaewon Class has my attention.
Visually I find it appealing, it looks like a comic book. Complex characters especially with the 2 FLs. Also, a transgender character that so far is being treated with respect.

For me, it was Joy of Life that finally brought me to enjoy another drama. I always love a good and complicated court intrigues, and having Xiao Zhan playing a minor role in that helped a lot too. Besides, Zhang Ruoyun’s awesome acting won me over within the first 4 or so eps.

Upload the Crunchyroll app and watch this anime named Given.

The read the magna it is based on because as good as the anime series is, it still does not due justice to how damn good the magna is.

It will start its sale stateside this spring and it will get my money.

It took me a long 6-7 months before I could properly watch a c or k drama. I ended reading all 3 of MXTX’s novelS during this time and a couple of other BL novels. Then I slowly watched one drama at a time.

Of the dramas I watched, I do recommend Joy of Life. At least check out the first episode. It is a lot of fun.

I’m definitely planning to watch JoL, my only concern is waiting for the next season…

This kinda explains why I have not watched the last three episodes. 😂 I don’t want it to end but it’s been weeks now and I know I should finish it.

I absolutely love the blue color scheme.
Nothing compares. But I thoroughly enjoyed Taiwan’s SOME DAY OR ONE DAY. It just finished and was good all the way thru the end. Loved the musical score too. My 2nd favorite drama after Untamed.

@linda-palapala Have you watched Joy of Life? What’s your thought on that?

I watched thru ep 28 or so but now I’m going to have to start over b ecause Viki took so long to sub it I forgot a lot. I did watch the ending, since I already knew how it was going to end. But the episodes I watched were humorous, which Zhang Ruoyun can pull off very well, and they were excellently done. The only drawback is the weird cliffhanger at the end, which we’re told don’t worry, but it was just a weird ending since they hadn’t even started a 2nd season.

I will say that I think there is ONE drama that I feel can go against all the pretty-ness of the “Untamed”, and that is “Ashes Of Love” 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Not to say that one drama beats out the other, but it is to say that, imo, BOTH dramas are up there in the visuals department 😍😍😍😍😘😘😘😘

@persianrose! I feel you…I managed to watch a couple of shows since.

    My recommendations:
C dramas – Joy of Life, Finding Yourself. The former is one of the better period dramas out there and the latter is a modern noona romance which is miles better than any noona rom kdrama I’ve seen. It tackles many modern issues that women face. Fun and meaningful
TW dramas – Some Day, One Day and Sandstorm. The former is a time travel, doppelganger romance. You know this genre often ends up in a mess but not this one. The latter is more like a family sitcom, totally wacky but does have meaningful takes on relationships and life.

No kdrama – the slump is real.

Currently rewatching Nirvana In Fire(C drama) with peeps on discord.

Wow, we have similar taste!! I haven’t seen all that’s on your list but Sandstorm and NIF are both super high on my list of favorites!
I’ve rewatched NIF 4 times along with Season 2 lol.

I need to start over with Joy of Life. Subs took too long and I forgot stuff. So you rec’d Finding Yourself? Okay, I’ll try again… SomeDay/One Day, omg 2nd best drama after Untamed. I’m watching it again… Sandstorm? It’s taking Viki forever to sub it so I gave up. Now I’ll try again! I do respect your opinion on dramas. Except for NIF, I just couldn’t get into it, but I loved NIF2 (go figure, as I’m the only one who liked it better).

Come to think of it, there’s j-drama I’ve now watched 4 times “The Novelist” which really should be titled “The Pornographer”. Don’t know why, but I find it tenderhearted, subtly humorous and I love the OST. It’s only 6 episodes/20 minutes each. I’m going to watch it again.

The quality edit on that IG post though! I would love to watch The Untamed again with this filter *___*
I’m currently watching Put Your Head On My Shoulder. It’s a light watch. Lots of cute moments. Just what I need during our community lockdown.
